Liam Payne's girlfriend revealed he is out of the hospital after recently suffering severe kidney pains while on holiday.

The One Direction star, 30, and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, 23, were on holiday at the five-star Mandarin Oriental hotel in Lake Como, Italy when he started suffering from severe kidney pains. The singer was reportedly “in agony” before he was rushed to hospital.

His mum later explained he was being treated at a medical facility in Milan, leaving her feeling helpless while he was being treated in another country. Liam previously had to cancel all his South American tour dates because of a "serious kidney infection".

And now, his girlfriend took to TikTok to share an update with concerned fans, who were demanding to be kept in the loop on his health. Kate told viewers: "He is doing so much better. He is out of the hospital and he is in good hands." Fans were grateful for the information and took to the comment section to thank her.

"Thank you for the update on Liam! I’m so glad he’s doing better! That blue looks lovely on you," one user said while another added: "Thanks for the update on Liam. We were all very worried. We were sitting here all week, frantic about the worst. Happy he is doing better."

It comes after Liam's mum gave fans an update on her son's condition. Speaking toMailOnline, Karen explained: "We are all worried sick about it but we just have to get on. It’s horrible – him being all the way over there. He’s in Milan and it sounds like he’ll be there for a week. I feel helpless."

She continued: "All we can really do is sit it out here and hope for the best. There is nothing we can do. We feel helpless. It’s such a horrible situation and we just hope he’s in the best place possible." Karen’s update came after anxious One Direction fans begged Liam’s girlfriend Kate to provide more information about his condition. She had been sharing snaps via Instagram of her lake-side vacation - before events took a turn for the worst.

Fans bombarded her Instagram posts with questions as they begged for an update. One concerned fan wrote in the comment section of one of her Lake Como snaps: "How’s Liam?! Pls tell us Kate, we are worried." While another asked: "Is Liam ok????" On Tuesday, news broke that Liam had been rushed to hospital after suffering pain in his kidneys. A source told The Sun: "Liam is in a bad way but he’s in the best place he can be and finally doctors will be able to get to the bottom of what is going on."
