Aura the 'world's most advanced humanoid robot' to get own Las Vegas residency
This Las Vegas residency will be the first of its kind, as it features a unique humanoid robot called Aura that will be the centre of her own one-robotic-woman show as she greets and interacts with guests at the "next-generation" venue.
Aura, the "world's most advanced humanoid robot," will permanently reside in the grand atrium of Sphere in Las Vegas. Aura was developed using the most advanced technology in robotic mechanics and artificial intelligence - this robot is among the most expressive and life-like humanoid robots in the world.
The plan is to have five Aura robots greeting guests from the moment they enter Sphere, "putting her life-like facial expressions and mobility on full display," according to a press release from Sphere. The Sphere is Madison Square Garden Entertainment’s new 20,000-person venue in Las Vegas that'll soon be hosting some of the biggest musicians in the world.

Aura is due to become an integral part of The Sphere Experience featuring Darren Aronofsky’s Postcard from Earth . These robots will be answering questions and used as guides for guests - but from an interesting angle.

“Your emotions, your humour and your relationship with technology require further study, so you must visit me at Sphere. I am excited to meet you and introduce you to the future of live entertainment at my new home," the robot continues to say. The robots are specifically programmed to tell the story of humanity’s history of innovation, especially Sphere, 'helping the audience maximize their Sphere Experience.'
"As an integral part of the Sphere Experience, Aura’s technical capabilities will continue to advance over time as she learns more about humans from her interactions with guests," said the press release. Aura, like all machines using AI, will get more intelligent as time goes on. Guests will be able to see her development over the years.
