Ten Hag warned Man Utd fans can 'see through b******t' and will turn against him
Erik ten Hag has been warned that Manchester United fans will see through his “b*******” excuses amid the Red Devils’ rotten start to the season.
The Dutchman’s side have lost three out of their opening five games of the season to leave them in 13th. The Red Devils have been hit with a host of problems at Old Trafford.
Neither Jadon Sancho and Antony are available for a number of reasons, whilst eight players are currently recovering from injury. However, former Chelsea star Craig Burley claims that is no excuse. He suggested that United supporters could soon turn on Ten Hag having witnessed a Brighton side missing the vast majority of their best players dismantle the Red Devils at Old Trafford at the weekend.
He also claimed that United’s reserve options are more than good enough to see them higher in the table. Speaking in an impassioned debate on ESPN, he said: “[Pervis] Estupinan, fantastic full-back, didn’t play. Billy Gilmour played against Newcastle, didn’t play. Solly March played, who’s been a stalwart for Brighton, didn’t play.
“Evan Ferguson who, you know I’m the leader of his fan club, scored a hat-trick against Newcastle, has picked up an injury, missed out on the Republic of Ireland internationals, was on the bench, didn’t play. There were two others, right. Lamptey is a full-back. He’s a right-back who played left-back.

“There is no way we can sit here, no way we can sit here and talk about Manchester United and say ‘But they didn’t have Raphael Varane’. By the way, they’ve got the second coming of Franz Beckenbauer and Harry Maguire on the bench, if you listen to the media, he can’t be criticised.

“He’s so good, he’s so good, he can’t be criticised, he’s on the bench, an England international. So it wasn’t that threadbare and the wonderful, wonderfully talented Anthony Martial, he came off the bench as well.
“Listen, when Erik ten Hag sits there at press conferences and waffles on with nonsense like this, there’ll be more and more United fans will turn against him because some fans don’t see it but most fans can see through BS like that.”
Man United take a break from their domestic commitments in midweek. They kick-off their Champions League group campaign against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
Following that, they then take on newly-promoted Burnley at Turf Moor. They will be aiming to avoid three consecutive league defeats in the same season for the first time since 2015.
