European football returns this week, with eight English clubs in action in the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference.

Manchester City, Arsenal, Newcastle and Manchester United play in Europe's elite club competition on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then West Ham, Brighton and Liverpool begin their Europa League campaigns the following day, with Aston Villa in the Europa Conference the same night.

In the Champions League, Eddie Howe's Newcastle travel to Italy to take on AC Milan, while Man City begin the defence of their Champions League trophy at home to Red Star Belgrade. Elsewhere, United face a tall order against Harry Kane's Bayern Munich, with Arsenal welcoming PSV Eindhoven in the same competition.

West Ham will be looking to continue their European exploits on Thursday when they entertain Backa Topola, while Brighton face AEK Athens at the Amex. Jurgen Klopp is expected to ring the changes for Liverpool's trip to LASK. Meanwhile, Aston Villa head to Poland to take on Legia Warsaw in the Europa Conference League on the same night.
