Christian mum who refused abortion after cancer diagnosis given shattering news
A mum who refused to have an abortion despite a cancer diagnosis has been told she only has weeks to live.
Tasha Kann, from Michigan, was 20 weeks pregnant with her second child when she was told by doctors she had a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. She was advised to terminate the so she could receive chemotherapy but she refused, making the heartbreaking decision to give birth to the child.
The mum, now 30, told Ms Kann told Fox: "I told them absolutely not. I was a little scared, but I never lost hope." She added: "I knew I had to be strong for my baby."
Despite battling against the rare form of cancer called anaplastic astrocytoma grade III. She was given only eight months to live but she defied the odds and gave birth to a baby girl in October 2022.

Baby GraceyShe hasn't regretted her decision and cherishes every moment with baby Gracey and her two-year-old son Deklan. Despite beating expectations, she's now been told she only has weeks left.
She added: "Every single day, I look at my beautiful baby and think about how easy it was for them to tell me to abort — like she was nothing." She said: "If I had listened — like most patients do, because they trust their doctors and don't do their own research — my baby wouldn't be here. It's a miracle from God that we are both here."
Having previously worked in a hospice, she knew the toll chemotherapy and radiation can wreak on patients. and even at times not even work.
Tasha with her growing family (Facebook)"I knew it would be a 'no' for me," she said. "I decided to go home and do my own research and figure it out, while keeping my baby alive." She has said that she continues to fight for the sake of her children. She said: "The only thing I ever wanted to be in life was a mum."
She described her husband as her main support system.
This summer she was told that her cancer had spread and there are now limited treatment options available.
Tasha with her partner while she was pregnant with Gracey (Facebook)Despite everything, she continues to stand by her initial decision to refuse radiation and chemotherapy treatment and instead uses alternative immunotherapy at the Burzynski Clinic in Houston, Texas.
She cited her faith as one of the things helping her through this and 'Gods will' as one of the key reasons she didn't abort the baby.
