Laura Anderson has shared new pictures of her adorable baby daughter Bonnie with her dog Buddy and some fans cruelly hit out at the new mum.

The snaps included the tot in the bath as well as on a lunch date with her mum. But Love Island star Laura was forced to take to the comments to defend herself over the image of Bonnie and Buddy.

The Pomeranian is seen wearing a bow tie as he proudly sits next to his baby human sister. But some fans were not pleased with the sight, and blamed the recent spate of dog attacks for their displeasure. One wrote: "Get that bl**dy dog away from her it’s all over the news about dogs [and] your doing this just can’t understand some people one day it might be too late [sic]."

However, fans of the 34-year-old were quick to come to her defence as one said: "People are so crazy my gosh some of these comments - don’t like it don’t follow." In a response to the fan's comment, Laura penned: "Poor buddy, he literally goes know where near her bless him."

The fan went on to add that she believed Buddy "already feels a protective bond with her" while another echoed the sentiment saying: "Omg can these people not actual be nice for once instead of criticising. It was 'OMG you've been pregnant forever' to now, 'she looks vacant, she doesn't look happy, get that dog away from her' ffs get a grip and maybe try be nice for once or either scroll on you actual nasty people." Someone else added: "Love that the fur baby is involved in a photo with your beautiful girl!"

The presenter recently appeared on Celebs Go Dating which is where Laura met Bonnie's dad, Gary Lucy, on a previous series of the Channel 4 show. The pair rekindled their romance after initially splitting while Laura was still pregnant. It comes after the birth of Bonnie saw Laura lose 1.6 litres of blood.

Despite this, she told fans that she was not put off having more children. "Obviously it's all worth it and I would do it all again," she said. However, she advised other mums-to-be to have an epidural when they go into labour. "But I do think don't be the hero – get the epidural at 4cm. You'll just have a nice time," she quipped.
