Tina O'Brien 'reignites messy feud' with Ryan Thomas in deleted Instagram post
Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien appears to have reignited her messy feud with ex Ryan Thomas in a since-deleted social media post.
The 40-year-old actress, who is best known for playing Sarah Platt in the ITV soap, shared a quote directed at ‘tyrannical narcissistic fathers’ in her Instagram stories, which also branded such men ‘bullies’, ‘cruel’, and a ‘lying, arrogant person’.
It went on to say: “He is a tyrant that is totally entrenched in his grandiose world and insistent that everyone follow his commands. He is emotionally abusive and can cause significant emotional damage to all family members. His behaviours cause the relationships within a family to be toxic and can cause lifelong wounds.”
Sharing a picture of the quote, Sarah wrote at the top: “Thankfully not my dad... but a dad that I know very well. Deeply resonates.” The post, which has since been deleted, appeared to be a dig at her former partner Ryan, who she began dating when they both starred in Corrie in the Noughties.
They were together for six years and welcomed daughter Scarlett in 2008, who is now 14 years old and has followed her parents into acting, starring in BBC drama Waterloo Road. But the couple split a week before Scarlett’s first birthday when Tina says Ryan walked out on her leaving her “absolutely devastated”.

He said he didn't want the responsibility of a relationship with me," she confessed in an interview with new! magazine.
Although Tina has since moved on with husband Adam Crofts, who she shares eight-year-old son Beau with, things have been bitter with ex Ryan since they split. The former couple reportedly barely speak anymore due to their "fractious" relationship.
Fans suspected there might be a rift brewing between the two former flames after Ryan and new love Lucy Mecklenburgh announced that they were expecting a child. The pair shared a video of Scarlett being told they were expecting for the first time as the little girl burst into "happy tears".
However mum Tina hit back, posting: "Don't always trust what you see on social media. Even salt looks like sugar." She later deleted the post, before writing: "Don't waste your time with explanations. People will hear what they want to hear."

Ryan has two children with former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh (Dave Benett/Getty Images)And last year the tension "boiled over" leading to a nasty row in which Ryan accused Tina of smashing up his car with a baseball bat in the middle of the night. A source told The Sun: “Ryan and Tina have a fractious relationship. They are not on good terms and that tension boiled over.”
“Tina, who was at a pal’s house party, came out into the street to meet him as he drove up. Soon after that his car was damaged with the baseball bat. It was quite a disturbing incident and Ryan drove away... they’ve not spoken since and Ryan is furious,” the source added.
The Mirror has contacted reps for Tina and Ryan for further comment on this story.
