For beauty fanatics across the UK, receiving an advent calendar that's packed with glorious, glowy, golden nuggets of make up and skincare products is like Christmas (yes, we're talking about Christmas already. Yes, we know it's only September) and your birthday all rolled into one - especially when its cheap as chips considering everything you get inside (that alone would cost an arm and a leg).

With ASOS, LOOK FANTASTIC and more all dropping recently, it was only a matter of time before PrettyLittleThing, whose make up is becoming just as synonymous as its clothes thanks to its viral products like the serum foundation, released their Beauty Advent Calendar.

Landing on their website on September 12 and coming in at £48, it's one of the most affordable on the market, alongside Revolution, Soap & Glory and Ted Baker, with its products totalling £198.

If you're looking to stock up on a few - or 24 - treats for yourself ('with love from me, to me'), your family, your friends as a pre-Yuletide treat - because why ever not? - PLT's advent calendar has a whole bunch of fun size and full size products to last you the 24 days leading up to Christmas that'll really amp up your beauty routine for a fraction of what they would cost just in time for party season. Cheers to that.

We're talking cleansers, clay masks, make-up must-haves, essential lip balms, the lot. One product, the Plump It! hyaluronic lip plumper, costs £22.99 alone which is almost half of what the calendar itself costs.

Now, in this guide there are going to be a number of spoilers - sorry, not sorry - so if you don't want to find out what behind each and every little door (or in this case, inside each box of which there are 24), here is your warning to look away now as we will be taking a deep dive into the nitty gritty of PrettyLittleThing's Beauty Advent Calendar from how much it costs, the full contents and how you can get your mitts on it this festive season.

When does the PrettyLittleThing Beauty Advent Calendar 2023 go on sale & how much does it cost?

PLT's beauty advent calendar went on sale on prettylittlething.com on Tuesday, September 13 - which means it's live now. Which means eager beauty buffs and PLTS fans can bag it right now - Christmas has well and truly come early! Costing only £48, its contents are worth £150 more than that totalling £198. Quite a bargain.

Now, you may notice that this calendar is £3 more than its price last year. But its content is worth a lot more compared to 2022 where the calendar cost £45 but was worth £141. Pretty sweet deal if you ask us. Find it here.

Okay - let me give you the retail prices of three products out of the 24 on their own in store and then you can decide for yourself if this calendar is worth it. The Plump It! Hyaluronic Lip Plumper is £22.99; the Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Dew Cream is £25 at Cult Beauty and Space NK (that's £47.99 already); the Stila Stay All Day Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner Stingra is £16 at Boots. PrettyLittleThing's 2023 Beauty Advent Calendar saves £150 on beauty productsUnboxing the PrettyLittleThing beauty advent calendar worth nearly £200

Our beauty expert Bethan Shufflebotham took a peek inside the calendar and said: "There are some seriously impressive brands tucked inside the PLT beauty advent calendar this year - I’m talking about the kind we’d expect to see in the likes of Cult Beauty, Space NK or LookFantastic. While the overall value is lower than these calendars at £198, it’s still almost four times the price you pay at under £50, offering shoppers the chance to get a taste of luxury without the huge price tag. I feel like £48 is a really accessible price point, and when you do the girl maths, it works out at £2 per item inside, which is incredible.

"While there are some duplications, like two Carmex lip balms - there isn’t actually a single product in the PLT calendar that I wouldn’t use, and will certainly help generate excitement throughout December and ensure I have everything I need to be party ready come the 25th.

"Whether you are treating yourself, or looking for the ultimate Christmas gift, the PrettyLittleThing beauty advent calendar is definitely one of the best value calendars for under £50 this year, offering more variety than some of the single-brand options available like Revolution, Soap and Glory or Ted Baker."
