Bebe Rexha flashes bare bum and iconic noughties boyband reunite at MTV VMAs
All eyes were on tonight's MTV Video Music Awards as stars stepped out wearing their best frocks on the red carpet and a popular boyband took to the stage to reunite.
Doja Cat led the glamour at the star-studded event as the ceremony got underway at the Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey. The singer left very little to the imagination as she wore a dress made out of what looked like cobwebs.
Ramping up the glamour, Doja Cat wore sparkling diamantés on her face and silver eyeshadow. She drew on thin eyebrows and accessorised with silver earrings and a matching bracelet.
The 27-year-old is known for wearing bold outfits during star-studded events, having dressed up as a cat during this year's Met Gala. She also wore a red bodysuit made up of 30,000 crystals for Paris Fashion Week.
Megan Thee Stallion looked calm and collected as she gave a smouldering look to the waiting paparazzi. The American rapper, 28, wore a sheer navy dress, which featured a bodice detail and gave fans a teasing look at her underwear.

Rapper Saweetie, who was one of the hosts at this year's VMAs, made a dramatic entrance to this year's awards as she was pictured licking a fake pink bone. The Tap In hitmaker was dressed in a sparkly pink outfit, reminiscent of the character Wilma from The Flintstones.
Saweetie, real name Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, wore bright pink eye shadow and pink lipstick. She showed off her long fingernails, which had been painted pink and silver.
Singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo smouldered towards the cameras as she posed for pictures wearing a floor-length silver gown. The 20-year-old looked incredible in the skin-tight number and she opted for a minimal makeup look.
Karol G, who made her VMA performance debut on Tuesday night, risked a wardrobe malfunction as she stepped onto the red carpet wearing a completely sheer dress made out of lacy fabric. The Colombian singer, who is up for several awards tonight, paired her look with a woollen jacket which she wore off her shoulders.
The Tusa hitmaker wore her blonde and pink hair in tight waves which flowed over her shoulders. She opted for a minimal makeup look, with a nude lipstick and rouged cheeks.
Also making a special appearance on the red carpet was the MTV Moon Person. Ever since the first MTV VMAs back in 1984, the Moon Person trophy has been given out to pay tribute to the network's origins.
Comedian Amelia Dimoldenberg looked very sophisticated on the red carpet as she wore a satin black maxi dress. The 29-year-old's outfit also featured a bodice which cinched her in at the waist.
Celebrities made sure to catch the attention of waiting paparazzi as they walked the red carpet. Performances at the event were just as attention-grabbing, with Demi Lovato and Nicki Minaj taking the stage.
Nicki Minaj looked jaw-droppingly beautiful as she took the stage wearing a pink wedding dress for her iconic performance. But unfortunately, the rapper's performance didn't go as smoothly as planned as the talented rapper suffered a wardrobe malfunction on stage. Despite her small shoe malfunction, Nicki gave an incredible show and was presented with the prestigious award for Best Hip Hop Song.

The Drip singer was seen confidently posing on the carpet wearing a bold, form-fitting long metallic gown with matching long silver acrylic nails. The 30-year-old rapper was attendance at the award show as she was nominated for the prestigious Hip-Hop Video Award.
Fans were also thrilled to see singer Bebe Rexha make an appearance at the event following a TikTok she posted early Friday with concerns of attending the event due to body shaming. Bebe looked breathtaking in her outfit of choice as she wore a sleek leather gown that showcased her stunning curves.
The Monster songwriter paired the sexy look with long dangling sparkling silver earrings with green detailing. She also gave a very cheeky glimpse at her bottom as she turned round to reveal her dress had two cut-outs on her bum cheeks.
Viewers got to see Shakira and Sean Diddy Combs perform, with the musicians both being honourees at the awards ceremony this year. Diddy received the Global Icon Award, becoming the third recipient of the award.
Shakira made history as the first ever South American artist to win the Video Vanguard Award at this year's awards. The famous Hips Don't Lie singer also gave fans an incredible performance she worked weeks to perfect, marking her first time taking the VMA stage in 17 years. The Colombian singer looked breathtaking at the show as she wore a long shimmering gold gown that hugged her slim model-esque figure with her long caramel locks in mermaid-like waves.
Demi Lovato made an appearance at the awards wearing a sexy all-black outfit paired with a shiny back trench coat. Demi left fans divided with their performance as they sang rock versions of their older songs. Demi's appearance at the awards show came as the singer is set to release an album of re-recorded rock versions of her hits on September 15.
Each year, the MTV VMAs sees numerous awards handed out. The nominees for this year's event were announced last month, with Taylor Swift leading the way with eight nominations and she took home four awards in total. Awards given out during the ceremony included Best Pop Video, Best New Artist, Group of the Year, Song of the Summer, Album of the Year and Video of the Year.
Blank Space singer Taylor made her appearance on the carpet wearing a long black gown with a high thigh slit up the side with buttons across the chic number. Taylor paired her look with layered silver necklaces, a dark smouldering smoky eye, and an up-do look.
While bestie Selena Gomez looked breathtaking on the carpet as she wore a sparking plunging ruby red dress with floral detailing showcasing her incredible curves. The Calm Down singer's appearance tonight marks the first time she's attended the VMAs since 2015. Selena and Rema took home the Best Afrobeats award for their 2022 hit Calm Down.
Jared Leto made a memorable appearance on the carpet as he showcased his eccentric style with a bold makeup look. The Suicide Squad star playfully posed with his tongue out sticking out as he rocked all-black attire with bleached eyebrows and a thick layer of black eyeliner. The 51-year-old actor accessorised the look with a metallic silver choker and leather gloves.
Most of the categories are open to a public vote. However, there also a series of "professional categories," which don't feature a public vote. These consist of awards for Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Choreography, Best Art Direction and Best Editing.
Other awards presented at the award show included Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Collaboration. There are also categories celebrating songs in a variety of genres, as well as an award for Show of the Summer.
The 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop is an incredible milestone in the genre's long history. Celebrations have been held all around the world to uplift and showcase every aspect of Hip Hop culture. The VMAs paid special tribute to this important milestone in music history tonight with a pre-show and final performance filled with hip-hop legends.
The pre-show of the VMAs included a montage of hip-hop moments from over the years. The award show closed with a salute to hip-hop pioneers Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Doug E. Fresh, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five and LL Cool J as they joined previously announced performers Lil Wayne and show emcee Nicki Minaj for the segment.
This was Darryl’s first VMAs performance since the influential rap group Run-DMC’s famous pairing with Aerosmith singer's Joe Perry and Steven Tyler during the 1987 VMA's when they performed Walk This Way. Run-DMC marked an important milestone in hip-hop history as they were the first rap group that were featured on MTV and the first rap group to be featured on the front cover of Rolling Stone Magazine.
*NSYNC made a surprise appearance at the 2023 VMAs reuniting to present the best pop awards. Viewers were delighted as they saw the popular '90s boyband reunite on stage including Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez. *NSYNC took the stage as they presented Taylor Swift with the Best Pop Video for Anti-Hero.
VMA viewers were with filled with nostalgia as they had the chance to see some of the most memorable 2000's icons take the stage once again. Famous 2000's celebrities presented awards to this year's nominees including rapper Timbaland and singer Nelly Furtado.
