TSB is giving customers the chance to win £10,000 as part of a new prize draw.

To be eligible, you must have had an open TSB account as of September 9 - this can include a personal or business current account, savings account, credit card, loan, home insurance policy or mortgage. You also need to be aged over 18 and live in the UK, or be registered in the UK if you have a business product.

There will be ten £10,000 prizes up for grabs, with winners selected on October 18 and contacted by October 20. TSB is launching the prize draw to celebrate ten years since it returned to the high street as a standalone bank, after splitting from Lloyds.

TSB Group merged with Lloyds Bank in 1995 to form Lloyds TSB, now Lloyds Banking Group. TSB Bank was later formed in 2013 after it took over and renamed several Lloyds high street branches.

Mark Curran, TSB customer banking director, said: “TSB has a long and proud history of helping customers to manage their money better and that’s something we remain committed to today. We’re delighted to give TSB customers the chance to win £10,000, to celebrate this important milestone in our history.”

If you’re eligible, you’ll automatically be entered into the prize draw. If you have more than one TSB product, such as a current account and a mortgage, you still only get one chance to win.

You won't be entitled to take part in the draw if:

  • You hold an account on behalf of someone under the age of 18
  • You live outside the UK or are registered elsewhere for tax purposes
  • The account has not been used for the past 15 years
  • A TSB account has any legal restrictions or fraud concerns around it
  • The account is about to be closed
  • If you work for a company connected to the prize draw
  • If you only set up a TSB account to test its open banking features

It comes after rival bank First Direct launched a prize draw for current account switchers, with new customers in with a chance of winning one of five £12,500 prizes.
