Love Island star Chloe Burrows is worried horny women will use their hair curlers as a sex toy - and has launched a fierce campaign to stop fellow ladies from making a painful mistake.

The 27-year-old reality star - who is currently featured on hit E4 show Celebs Go Dating - has been enlisted by hair styling brand Mark Hill to advise against a new product being confused for a self pleasure device. The brand themselves have already issued a warning that their new jumbo waver hair curler device is not a sex toy which the manufacturers fear could cause injuries.

A statement was issued by the brand after many consumers took to social media to comment that the item looked like it was a device designed to give self-pleasure. Now outspoken reality star Chloe has been drafted in to help spread the health and safety message.

The Daily Star reports that the Love Island star was dispatched to the streets of London where she shouted a warning through a large, bright pink megaphone. The publication reports: “The telly personality and the Mark Hill Hair team toured some of London’s most famous landmarks including Big Ben, The London Eye, Oxford Street, Carnaby Street, Covent Garden, and Piccadilly Circus to spread the word.”

The report also explained that Chloe was heard shouting: “this is not a sex toy!” while trying to help shoppers realise that the product on sale is for hair, not for ‘down there’. Chloe’s stunt comes after Mark Hill Hair had to deliver a statement about their product.

They said in a public comment: “Countless consumers are confusing Mark Hill Hair’s new styling wand as a sex toy, leading the brand to issue a public service announcement to avoid embarrassment and injury.” There have been no reports of any customers being injured for using the production inappropriately.

In the past, women have been warned not to utilise unusual objects with their personal areas. During a previous heatwave, women were urged not to insert ice lollies in their vaginas in an attempt to cool off.

Speaking to Metro, Dr Sarah Welsh, the co-founder of HANX condom brand, previously said: "The vagina is composed of very delicate and sensitive skin, hence things that may seem innocent to other areas of the body, if they come in contact with the vagina, can cause infections, irritations and damage. There are many things that should never go near a vagina and ice lollies are up there. The ice can stick to the delicate skin of the vagina and cause real trauma and damge."

Dr Welsh continued to warn that the sugar in the lolly could potentially disrupt the natural pH of the vagina and also shared her concern that the lolly could break inside.
