A solar-powered, dome-shaped house in Florida has been put up for sale at just under half a million US dollars ($449,000, or £355,477).
The quirky, two-bedroom home, which comes with 1.6 acres of land, runs entirely on solar energy with a backup generator in case of power interruptions.
It is made entirely from stone, or ‘monolithic’. Monolithic homes like this one are known to be very energy-efficient and resilient in tough weather, important for properties in Florida, a state increasingly threatened by extreme climate events.
