The Chase star Anne Hegerty revealed she and her quiz show co-stars have a WhatsApp group where they would ‘b***h about’ producers.

The 65-year-old TV star dubbed the Governess on the ITV show, said they would use the group chat to support each other if they were having a 'bad time' and were 'losing a lot.' Anne says the group of quizzers - Mark Labbett, Jenny Ryan, Paul Sinha, Shaun Wallace, Darragh Ennis - and herself, have a level of trust where they're not afraid to say certain things to each other. The Chaser admitted she has a close friendship with her fellow chasers as they all 'get on well.'

Speaking to The Express, she said: “We have WhatsApp. We have one WhatsApp group that’s got the producers in and another one that hasn’t got the producers in so we can b**** about them. If someone is having a bad time, if someone [a chaser] was losing a lot, we’d kind of be very reassuring because it could be any of us.

The Chaser - who joined the show in 2010 - also revealed the group would get together if they were having a particularly hard week. “And we do socialise a lot. Especially when Mark [Labett] is down. Mark is probably the Chaser I know best. When he’s filming there’s a restaurant we go to where they know us and people don’t eavesdrop."

Continuing, Anne gushed over show presenter Bradley Walsh saying: "[Bradley] is just this legendary presenter, and he is just such a nice guy, all the Chasers have such a nice rapport with him."

Anne's revelation comes after she admitted she still lives in her Housing Association flat, despite her salary from appearing on The Chase and the various franchises. Speaking on the How To Be 60 with Kaye Adams and Karen MacKenzie podcast, the star said: "I live in a Housing Association flat. I own half of it and rent the other half."

She went on to state that people are able to buy a property through shared ownership, meaning they will own part of the property and rent the other portion "if you cannot afford all of the deposit and mortgage payments for a home that meets your needs.

Reflecting on where she stashes her finances, Anne joked that it's "sitting in the bank" instead of her spending it. She went on to add: "I like pondering that it's sitting in the bank. "I buy clothes, stupid amounts of clothes."
