Love Island's Indiyah Polack teases Dami Hope engagement after anniversary

Indiyah Polack has teased the next step in her romance with Dami Hope, after celebrating one year together recently.

The sensational couple met in the 2022 summer series of ITV2 dating show Love Island – and experienced their fair share of ups and downs in the villa after Casa Amor almost split them up. However, after overcoming hurdles in front of viewers and falling in love – all while capturing the hearts of fans – Indiyah and Dami have proven themselves as having true power couple status.

In July the 24-year-old marked one year of dating Irish hunk Dami, 27, with a gushing tribute to him on her Instagram page – showing they are more in love than ever. So, when the Mirror caught up with Indiyah at the launch of her incredible Pretty Little Thing collection, we couldn't resist asking what her and Dami's future plans were.

When asked what her future plans were with Dami, Love Island podcast host Indiyah told the Mirror: "Oh, don't know maybe a nice car, nice ring," teasing hopes for a possible engagement someday soon perhaps. She may be ready for Dami to get down on one knee but insisted she isn't ready to become a parent just yet.

"No babies for now, but maybe we can do cats and dogs. We can do a house... marriage," Indiyah spilled before she added: "I'm into both [cats and dogs] I am more on the cat side, like a big fluffy version."

Indiyah then insisted once again she wasn't planning on having children anytime soon as the Mirror pointed out she and Dami had only been together a year, to which Indiyah said: "We've only been together a year but sometimes it feels like, 'wow, like, this feels way longer than a year'. But I think that's a good thing though; to feel like you've been with your person forever."

As well enjoying a successful romance with her beau Dami, Indiyah's career is definitely on the up, too. The star may have risen to fame on Love Island but she is quickly establishing herself as a talented presenter also – with her hosting the official Love Island podcast with Sam Thompson and presenting stints on Love Island Aftersun alongside Maya Jama and podcast pal Sam. The star also has recently launched an incredible collection with Pretty Little Thing, which she created, as well as a collaboration with Boots which she landed last year.

When asked what's next for the rising star, Indiyah revealed: "I would probably say just perfecting my presenting skills – that's something I definitely want to like, get stronger at. And just seeing where life takes me.

"I'm very much keen on like dipping my fingers into anything that actually excites me – I love doing hair and makeup, I'm into beauty, I'm into fashion and like I've touched on that on my PLT collection, [and] doing beauty with Boots. So just doing things that bring me joy and I like to be on the move – so I'll do one thing, do it and then I'm like, 'Okay, now what?' I'm very constantly going."
