All the key dates you need to know about for the NFL 2023 season
The new NFL season is now here and with it fans are looking ahead to some of the major dates in the calendar.
The new campaign is expected to see some of the NFL's biggest teams go head to head for the Vince Lombardi Trophy including Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, the 49ers and Buffalo Bills. Teams have strengthened and regrouped in the off-season with defense and offences fine tuned as they look to make their mark this season.
This Sunday, September 10 and Monday September 11, will see a huge opening night of games including mouth-watering match ups such as Philadelphia Eagles vs New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills at the New York Jets. What other key dates do you need to know about?
October 31: NFL trade deadline. Teams have until 4 ppm (ET) to complete vital trades. Once this deadline has passed trades cannot take place until the start of the 2024 league new year, which is the following March.
January 6-7: Week 18, this is the final regular-season weekend of the NFL.
January 13-14: NFL playoffs to start with Wild Card weekend.
January 20-21: Divisional round of the playoffs which will feature the final four teams from each conference.
January 27-28: NFC Championship games with the two remaining teams in each conference playing each other for a place in the Super Bowl.
February 11: Super Bowl LVIII to be played between the winner of the AFC and NFC at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
How can I watch the games with the NFL Game Pass?
