Love Island's Shaughna's candid admission about no longer editing her photos
Former Love Island contestant Shaughna Phillips says she is taking a big step for her own confidence by refusing to edit the photos of herself that she shares online.
The 29-year-old reality star was a contestant on the 2020 winter edition of Love Island where she spent most of her time being paired with 27-year-old Callum Jones before she was dumped from the villa after 33 days. Being on the ITV2 reality series catapulted the Londoner into the spotlight and she quickly garnered an online following - and now has more than 1.4 million fans watching her every online move via Instagram alone.
On Tuesday evening, Shaughna was one of the guest at the 28th National Television Awards - which took place at London’s O2 Arena. The star stepped out wearing a shimmering pink outfit made by womenswear brand Nadine Merabi. And she proudly posed on the red carpet at the O2 as she prepared to watch the biggest names in TV win awards.
Shaughna shared snaps of herself on her Instagram page - where she confessed that she has stopped altering the images that she shares online. She wrote in a caption: “NTA’S 2023… Thank you so much to @fakebake_uk for having me and glamming me!” She added: “P.s I don’t edit my photos anymore and it’s kinda a big deal to me.”

One impressed fan commented: “Looking beautiful! Love that jumpsuit! And well done for not editing your pics. U look amazing so defo don’t need to edit!” Another wrote: “And proud of you!! ... you are so naturally beautiful you don’t need no editing girl!” And another agreeing fan wrote: “You look stunning as always babes.”

Shaughna recently warmed the hearts of her fans when she let them know the name of her recently born daughter. The TV star became a first time mum back in April when she welcomed a daughter named Lucia with her real estate agent boyfriend Billy Webb. Shaughna let fans know that she was paying tribute to her own late father when she gave Lucia her father’s last name in honour of him. She first introduced her baby via an Instagram post along with a statement reading: "My darling Lucia, I wish I had you sooner so I could love you longer."
She later explained: "Interested to know everyone's thoughts on this. I decided I wanted to keep my surname after my dad passed away. I just felt like it was a part of him I never wanted to give up." She further added, "So when I found out I was pregnant, Lucia's surname was always going to be double-barrelled because mine will be if/when I get married."
