Kevin Costner's ex says she will have to re-enter workforce after $63k payout
Kevin Costner 's estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, did not get the child support money she hoped for and may have to find a job soon.
Last week, a judge ordered during a child support hearing for Kevin to pay $63,209 a month (about £50,500) instead of the $161,592 that Christine wanted (about £130,000). The couple both testified during the proceedings, explaining what their plans were for the future now that they would be separated.
"I will look into the steps I need to take and any schooling I need to do, and I will enter the workforce," said the 49-year-old mother of three. She currently lives in a rental that costs about $40,000 (£32,000) a month after she was ordered by the court to move out of the family home.
They have three children together (Getty Images)While on the stand, Kevin admitted that the divorce had changed his life drastically. "My world's been a little shook up," he said. In terms of future plans, the Yellowstone star said: "I have to take care of obligations that are already in place, I have a lot of responsibilities I have to take care of," People reported.
"I need to figure out how I’m going to spend more time with the children, walk them through this process. I am going to need to take some time for myself," he said, "I have a lot to contemplate — what I have to do versus what I want to do." Together, the couple have three kids, Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13.

The couple married in 2004 and Christine filed for divorce in May of this year, listing the date of separation as a month earlier. According to Kevin's representative at the time: " circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action."

" She knew that my biggest worry was that I felt like I could be married and divorced again but one thing was I couldn’t be married and divorced again with children," he said. But eventually "it was important to her and it became important to me."
Kevin has two children with his first wife Cindy Silvia - Annie, Lily, and Joe. He also has a son, Liam, from his relationship with Bridget Rooney. Reportedly, Kevin had to pay around $80million (£64 million) after his first divorce. Kevin and Christine share Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13.
Kevin is also working on his passion project, Horizon: An American Saga. It's reported to be a Western epic that will have about four movies in the series. He described it in court as a "really big risk" due to how much he invested in it.
