Bill Bailey lets slip his baby name suggestions to pregnant Strictly partner Oti

Loose Women guest Bill Bailey has revealed that he suggested two baby names to his former Strictly Come Dancing partner Oti Mabuse, who is pregnant with her first child.

The star, 58, who is a father to his son Dax, formed a close bond with Oti,33, after they strived week after week to wow the Strictly judges. And their efforts clearly paid off as they were crowned winners of the 2020 series and were pictured proudly holding the coveted glitterball trophy.

And so on the back of Oti's news that she is expecting her first child with her husband Marius Lapure, Bill told the Loose Women panelists: "When she said she was having a baby, I said well look here's a couple of baby names for you. Bill for a boy and Bailey if it's a girl.It makes sense right? It's a cool name."

When asked by Jane Moore if his 19 year old son was set to follow in his footsteps he claimed that his son loves playing his guitar although he does have a great sense of humour. At one point in the show, Bill and Judi showed off their Strictly dance moves as both stars have been on the hit BBC show.

Oti and her husband announced their baby news on their social media last month. They wrote: "Our 'yes' year is getting better and better and so is our little family. We feel finally ready and excited to share our wonderful news. This is new for us scarier than swimming with sharks, jumping off cliffs or even swinging from bridges but the best news we could have ever ask for."

She added: "We love our little bundle of joy so much already… and can’t wait to see what our future will now look like as family of 3 plus leo, it’s been a beautiful journey so far with close friends and family and nearly over but we have learnt a lot a long the way….Christmas is about to get even louder."

She continued: "We feel finally ready and excited to share our wonderful news. This is new for us scarier than swimming with sharks, jumping off cliffs or even swinging from bridges but the best news we could have ever ask for."

And Oti clearly wasn't satisfied in leaving her announcement to the power of Instagram. She also brought out her husband on her TV show Oti Mabuse's Breakfast Show and told the audience that they have good news. She told her audience "we're having a baby" and pointed to her belly as her bump was disguised by her heavily patterned outfit.

And as expected, her audience went wild. But Oti's road to motherhood hasn't been a smooth path. She revealed to her Instagram followers: "We had been trying for a while and decided to stop (it all just got too much) and just live life as us two, as nothing was happening." She added: "We enjoyed each other's company, dinners, concerts, parties and just simply removed all the pressure and here we are!"
