Emmerdale are seemingly lining up a double exit from the Dales in the coming weeks.

It's all happening next week on the ITV soap, and it looks like two residents could be bidding farewell for good. Next week on the ITV soap, Gabby Thomas is still struggling to cope with Nicky being in the village.

Nicky and Gabby split on their wedding day, when he admitted he was gay and their romance was all a sham to help his dad Caleb Miligan get in with the Tates and try and steal all of Kim Tate's money, including Home Farm, off of her. She had taken a holiday recently, but it seems like it may not be enough for Gabby as she plots her exit from the village.

Could Gabby be leaving for good?

Spoilers for next week on the ITV soap reveal that Gabby is insistent on selling up and leaving the village behind for good, but will she go through with her plan, or is this all talk from the young villager?

Elsewhere, sources have claimed Matthew Wolfenden - who plays David Metcalfe - is planning on departing the show. The actor has yet to confirm he is leaving, but could Emmerdale be hinting at a potential exit storyline for him next week?

The insider said: "Matthew has had an amazing time on the soap, but feels ready for a change. He hasn’t been getting any gritty storylines recently so wants to see what else is out there.

Sources have claimed Matthew is departing his role as David (ITV)

"He’s a fan favourite so will get a lot of support in whatever he decides to do next. He’s very excited about the opportunities available. He’s only just announced he is leaving so scriptwriters are working out his on-screen exit. It’s possible David could be killed off."

Next week, David confesses that he's starting to have feelings for his ex Victoria Sugden, but it seems like his former stepson Jacob isn't happy about it. Could David's renewed feelings for Victoria force him out of the village for good, or will she reciprocate?
