Beat The Chasers' guest admits to Bradley Walsh she showed up to 'wrong show'

Beat The Chasers took a hilarious turn when a contestant admitted they thought they were appearing on a different show, leaving host Bradley Walsh lost for words.

On Sunday night, a contestant named Tracey joined Bradley and the Chasers on stage in hopes of winning money. While running up on stage, she almost tripped but it only got weirder. The contestant revealed she liked collecting stones and pulled one from her bra as she further confused the host.

"You'd be amazed at what goes in a woman's bra. Lots of women go out and put things in their bra for the night," she stated as Bradley asked her: "Have you been drinking?" Tracey didn't seem bothered by the baffled looks and went on to admit she thought she was going to be on The Chase.

Speaking to Bradley, she said: "When I was applying to be on the show I was speaking to the researcher and they asked me how many chasers I would take on. I said I'd only take on one. I thought I was coming on to do the Chase." Bradley said: "Okay you know how it works don't you?" to which she replied that she does "now".

Despite applying to the wrong show, she still managed to beat the Chasers and went home with £30,000. Viewers were just as confused by Tracey's energetic personality and took to social media to comment on her hilarious comments. One user said: "Tracey, calm down dear, it’s only a game show!"

"Tracey thought she was applying to be on #TheChase? She's the perfect #TippingPoint contestant!" another said while one Beat The Chasers viewer was convinced she had a tactic to win: "She knew exactly what she was doing. Play dumb, score low, get more time win more money."

One said: "She wanted to be on #TheChase… but she #BeatTheChasers! Go figure!" and another added: "Tracy doesn't watch telly, hope she doesn't look at twitter either." Beat The Chasers basically has contestants get offered the option of playing multiple Chasers at a time for increasing amounts of money.

The catch? They will have less time advantage against them. This series' Chasers include Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty, Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace, Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha, and Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennis.

Beat The Chasers is available to watch on ITV Hub.
