Meghan Markle used to have a lifestyle blog named The Tig and might be bringing it back sometime soon as her latest venture.

The Duchess of Sussex ran a blog for a few years before she met her husband Prince Harry. The Tig was her self-described "passion project" and posted recipes, travel tips, and personal photos of her adventures over the years. She shut down the blog in 2017 as she started to adjust to the royal life as Harry's fiancee at the time.

This revival comes after a few hit-and-miss ventures from the couple. Earlier this year, their Spotify deal fell through after Meghan's podcast, Archetypes, was not renewed for a second season. Their production company, Archewell Productions, still has a deal with Netflix, but it isn't doing as great as expected.

Their first documentary series, Harry & Meghan, was crowned the most watched subscription series in the UK, but failed to be nominated for the Emmys this year. The second series from the production company, Harry's Heart of Invictus, did not make the Netflix Top 10 in the days after it was released on the platform.

Meghan's team has reportedly filed for new trademarks for The Tig through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The new Tig uses the same logo Meghan used before but seems to cover more than just travel and cooking tips, according to TMZ.

The trademark filing said the new website wants to focus on "food, cooking, recipes, travel, relationships, fashion, style, lifestyle, the arts, culture, design, conscious living, and health and wellness." Rumours have swirled that the Duchess wants to create something to rival Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop brand, and this description adds fuel to those claims.

Meghan was granted a Notice of Allowance in April after no one filed an opposition to her trademark application. Her next steps need to include a Statement of Use that shows that the website is up and running and being actively updated. If she does that before October, in about a month, the trademark will be approved.

Her website is still up, but the only thing on the site is her farewell letter from when she shut down the blog. "To all my Tig friends," it started, "After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it's time to say goodbye to The Tig. What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun, and frivolity."

"You've made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy. Keep finding those Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being 'the change you wish to see in the world.' Above all, don't ever forget your worth - as I've told you time and time again: you, my sweet friend, you are enough. Thank you for everything," it ended.
