Love Island's Sanam hits back at fan who called her 'rude' over photo rejection
Love Island winner Sanam Harrinanan was forced to defend herself when a fan called her 'rude' for not taking a photo with them.
The TV personality, 25, rose to fame when she won the winter version of the ITV2 dating competition with boyfriend Kai Fagan. Since leaving the villa, she gained herself a legion of fans which means there have been times that the star is stopped in public for fan photos.
Earlier this week, Sanam and Kai were enjoying a day out in London when they were approached by a fan for a picture. However, as Sanam was mid-meal and mid-conversation, she turned down the photo. The furious fan later slid in Sanam's DMs to criticise her for not dropping everything for a snap.
The person even compared her and Kai to Love Island legends Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague. The fan responded to an Instagram Story taken in London's Chinatown with: "So rude not taking a picture in China Town - calm down love you're not Tommy and Molly."

Because I only turned one person down because of that, so I'm assuming it's you?" The reality star also posted a screenshot of the message on her Stories.

Adding a caption, she told her followers that there's a "time and place" for photos, and mid-conversation isn't one of those times. "One thing about me… I will always happily take a picture with whoever asks because I wouldn't be here without you guys but I will always say no if I am approached whilst I am sat down at a table eating food and in mid-conversation," she said.
"I find it rude and invasive at that point. There's a time and a place and it's not whilst I'm sat with someone eating a meal and enjoying someone else's presence." Sanam drove her point home by reposting several snaps she and Kai took with fans on the streets of Chinatown.
Kai and Sanam went out in London to enjoy a sweet date night as they walked through Chinatown before enjoying a meal and heading to the cinema. It comes after Kai caught the eyes of fans when he shared a snap of him and her on his Instagram page. In the picture, she rocked a ring on her finger.
He explained in the caption that it was a promise ring but then teased that an engagement may be on the cards. He wrote: "By the way guys it's a promise ring! The big one will come soon don't worry."
