Strictly Come Dancing star Joanne Clifton issued a desperate plea on social media to help find her missing friend, who has reportedly since been found.

The 39-year-old professional dancer took to her Instagram page to share a picture of her actor and dancer friend, Garry Lee, who has been missing since Friday morning. In the original description, it was written that concern was raised when he didn't turn up to rehearsals.

"Have any of my London friends heard from Garry Lee @gls.est88 he has been missing since the early hours of Friday morning, he didn’t turn up to rehearsals yesterday, and his phone keeps diverting it's really concerning no one can get hold of him," the original caption shared by KY Kelly read.

The original poster later took to their Instagram Stories to say that Garry contacted them and that he is "hopefully" fine. They wrote: "Thank you so much to everyone who has shared my post about my friend Garry Lee being missing thankfully he has messaged me and a few others to say he is fine so I'm praying that is the case."

Joanne posted a screenshot of the post and added: "My good friend @gls.est88 is missing. Please read the above .. If anyone knows ANYTHING please get in touch straight away." She also posted the screenshot on her Instagram Stories and asked her followers to spread the information and wrote: "This is awful."

Garry is known for many theatre roles, including 42 Balloons, Cinderella, The View Upstairs, Dirty Dancing, BARE and Starlight Express. He currently plays Sandra Bullock on Everybody's Talking About Jamie. Garry also trained at The Urdang Academy graduating in 2011.

Meanwhile, Joanne recently opened up about suffering from osteoarthritis. She was diagnosed with the condition in 2015 and has it in both knees. "It’s just down to wear and tear from being a ballroom dancer. I specialised in ballroom rather than Latin and in ballroom, you never straighten your legs, you’re dancing in a squat the whole time. Having a whole career of that since I was four, my knees have just worn away," she recently said to Magazine+.

“But it didn’t stop me, and this is the message I want to get out — arthritis is more common than you think but it shouldn’t stop you from doing things. Even though I’ve got it, I managed to win Strictly Come Dancing. I moved into musicals and I did 18 months of Flashdance, doing eight shows a week. I still did Burn The Floor, which is a very intense ballroom and Latin show."
