Corrie's Samia Longchambon wows in black string bikini after holiday from hell
Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon isn't let a string of disasters dampen her spirits following an eventful recent holiday to an island in Spain.
The actress, 40, took to social media on Wednesday to share some snaps from her trip to Mallorca but also let her Instagram followers know how the family break was marred with multiple flight delays, sickness, extreme weather incidents and a stolen bank card to top it all of.
Samia, best known for playing Maria Windass on the ITV soap, admitted to fans she was relieved to be back home following the nightmare holiday and explained why she feels it's important to be real on social media at times, rather than just showing off as we "live our best lives".
In the first of several pictures shared with her 433,000 Instagram followers, Samia cut a glamorous figure in a black two-piece bikini, teamed with a blue and white striped shirt, bright pink sandals and oversized sunglasses. Additional snaps showed the soap star enjoying a boat ride with husband, Dancing On Ice star Sylvain Longchambon, and images of their son Yves enjoying the family trip.

The Coronation Street managed to enjoy some quality time with her Dancing On Ice husbandCandidly captioning the collection of picture, Samia told her Instagram followers: "Our holiday in Mallorca consisted of.. flight delays (there and back ), stolen bank card, a tornado, and i had a bit of a bug for the first few days ... BUT We managed to get there and back safely, I got my stolen money back from my bank, we stayed safe in the storm and we got to spend time in the sun, see friends and eat lovely food.. #yinandyang."

She continued: "Home now and there’s no place I’d rather be! I know I could’ve just put some caption about holidays been amazing (which they are obviously), but I feel like we get enough of people ‘living their best lives’ on here without showing the reality sometimes.. Hope you’ve all had a lovely summer break and to those people affected by the flight delays… I feel you! #homesweethome #summer23."
Samia and Sylvain first met on Dancing On Ice in 2013 and they are now happily married, sharing a gorgeous home with their four-year-old Yves and the Corrie star's 13-year-old daughter Freya from her marriage to property developer Matt Smith. Samia and Matt split in January 2011, just over a year on from Freya's birth in October 2009.
Earlier this month, Samia called for one of her Corrie character Maria's forgotten storylines to be revisited. The actress, who has appeared on the cobbled streets of Weatherfield on and off since 2000, admitted she's keen to shoot more scenes with co-stars Jane Danson and Ben Price, who play Leanne Battersby and Nick Tilsley, respectively.
"I wish Maria had more scenes with Nick and Leanne, because Jane Danson is my best friend out of work. But Maria and Leanne don't really interact much. And Maria and Nick were madly in love 20 years ago!" Samia confessed when chatting about all things Corrie with Inside Soap.
She went on to add: "Me, Jane and Ben always say it'd be nice to kind of explore those relationships again. I'm not saying that she should have an affair or anything, but just that you never see Maria with either of those characters. And actually, there's a lot of history."
