Resident installs hot tub in communal bin area leaving eye witnesses in stitches
A resident has left their neighbours confused but social media users in stitches after installing a make-shift hot-tub in their communal bin area.
A ground worker, who was visiting his friend in Cranhill, Glasgow, was shocked to find the hilarious set-up and decided to share the bizarre situation online, racking up over 378,000 views inside hours on twitter. Jamie, 36, was left surprised when he peered out the window and spotted the fully-functioning jacuzzi in the communal waste area.
In the post, he reveals a snap of the new addition which shows the round tub placed in between two gated sections – with the bins shoved to the side. He captioned the picture: “Somebody in Cranhill has removed the bins from the bin area to put his hot tub there instead. Jesus man."
The bins were pushed to one side at the estate in Glasgow, Scotland (Jam Press)Jamie said says the council had yet to step in and explained that the hot tub has been there for weeks. He said: “My mate didn’t know whose it was, but he said it had been there for a few weeks. I saw it from his back window and my first reaction was to start laughing to myself. It’s very Glaswegian.”
Users have flocked to the comments to praise the use of the space after the post went viral. “Pissin maself btw but not surprised,” one tickled person said. while another wrote. “Only in Glasgow.” Someone else said: “Communal bins, communal hot tub, stands to reason" before a fourth user added: “New council swimming pool."

Last month, a man was left outraged after his neighbours kept breaking into his property to use his swimming pool and hot tub. Despite asking them to stop, the family claimed it was "their right" to use his facilities because it's the "neighbourly thing to do".
Taking to Reddit, he said: "I bought my first house 12 years ago. It was in a low-middle class neighbourhood with a lot of working class families. "My house had a pool in the backyard and my parents bought me and my wife a hot tub as a wedding/housewarming gift. Two weeks after moving in, we found a stranger and six teenaged kids swimming in our pool when we got home."
The former teacher installed 'No trespassing' signs around his property in an attempt to deter them from breaking in again - but this didn't stop them. "When we told them to get out and get off our property, the entitled mum told me that the previous owner gave them permission to come over whenever they wanted to swim," he added.
"I explained to her that I was the new owner and that I was not OK with it. I told the entitled mum that not only do I not know them, but there is a legal liability for me if they got hurt. She yelled and faked cried saying I was being a bad neighbour, selfish, and forcing her kids to sweat in the summer heat. She told me that if they died of heat stroke, it was my fault for not letting them swim in my pool. I told her to get the f*** off my property and never return."
