Celebs Go Dating's Vanessa Feltz branded 'uppity and unbearable' after date
Vanessa Feltz was slammed for making life very uncomfortable on her date when things went south following a row over pizza topping.
The Celebs Go Dating star sat down with restaurant owner Paul, who says he came a long way to meet her. Blunt Vanessa clearly wasn't happy after she questioned why he serves Hawaiian pizza in his Italian restaurant and things didn't improve when he told her it felt like he was being interviewed.
Vanessa is looking for love after she dumped the Phats and Small singer Ben Ofoedu, 50, after he admitted to cheating and sext-messaging another woman behind her back. The broadcaster has had no luck so far and left her previous date ticked off after using her mobile phone at the table - and this one didn't go any better, either.
She called her evening a 'root canal to the power of 50' but many watching at home say she was responsible and felt sorry for the businessman. One viewer posted: "Vanessa is so bossy, rude and a terrible date" while another tweeted: "If Vanessa couldn’t get any worse on her dates she raises the bar on #CelebsGoDating. Actually arguing with a restaurant owner about what pizza toppings he has on his menu."
A third called her "unbearable" as another watching on put: "Vanessa Feltz is so uppity & so much hard work - getting hung up over a type of pizza a restaurant-owner is serving to his customers that want it, no wonder she's single." But plenty pointed the finger at him, and one tweeted: "This guy is not asking Vanessa any questions about herself. Bad date. #CelebsGoDating."
Phillip Schofield mocks Molly-Mae's baby name in cruel swipe at Love Island starAfter the pizza incident, Paul said: "You're lovely, but I feel like I'm being interviewed." She didn't like the comment, and sharply responded: "You are quite brief in your answers, you could attempt some conversation, how about that?"
Things then turned very awkward when Paul attempted to feed her a marshmallow. Bluntly, she told him: "No, there's no need. No, I can feed myself, it's fine." She then told the camera: "There's no chemistry or conversation, it's tanking terribly - what makes him think he can feed me?"
Oddly, as they were saying goodbye, Paul lifted her up. Unsurprisingly, she hated it telling him: "Why would you do that? Bloody hell." Paul then said: "I get the impression she didn't like me, but it was nice to meet her." The broadcaster then tells the camera: "I couldn't f****** stand it.. it was AGONY! It was shocking, root canal to the power of 50!"
