Mohamed Salah remains the subject of intense interest from Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad, but the Liverpool superstar is not the only famous face subject to the rumours.

Sergio Ramos is the latest football A-lister to be linked with a switch to the Saudi Pro League. The Spanish football icon left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his contract with the French giants and is yet to issue any kind of update over where he'll play next.

Real Madrid legend Ramos is believed to be mulling over every potential option before coming to any final decision on his next step. The general consensus from those closest to the defender is that he currently favours the idea of a move to Galatasaray, but if that deal were to fall through, he'd be open to joining Al-Ittihad.

Those running the show at Al-Ittihad, including manager Nuno Espirito Santo, are aware of Ramos' stance regarding a potential transfer and are waiting in the wings to see how his negotiations with Turkish titans Galatasaray develop.

Were Ramos to opt for a move to Al-Ittihad and Salah to shock the football world and do the same amid rumours of a £150million bid, the dressing room dynamic at Al-Ittihad could turn particularly frosty all of a sudden.

It is well-documented that the pair aren't exactly the best of friends, with the feud dating back to the 2018 Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid. Salah was forced to withdraw from the game early, due to a shoulder injury he sustained during a clash with Ramos.

Replays showed how Ramos appeared to deliberately hold on to Salah's arm while the pair of them fell to the floor, causing the Egyptian to land awkwardly.

Years later, Salah is seemingly still scarred by the interaction and admitted: "I remember when I went off, it was the worst moment in my career.

"It was the worst thing to happen for a player. I knew the result from the hospital. We couldn't lose that way. I was really down at that time. We had a good season and came to the Champions League final and then I went off."

When the Liverpool legend was asked if he had the chance to speak to Ramos since that fateful match, Salah retorted back: “Oh no. I didn’t speak to him and for me the subject is closed. I’m not talking about him now. I’m just talking about the injury.”
