A police officer who appeared on TV show Call the Cops is to be charged with assaults against a teenage girl.

PC Matthew Tregale, 33, is to answer a summons at Plymouth Magistrates' Court on March 8 accused of two offences of sexual activity with a female aged 15.

The charges relate to incidents that took place in 2014, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Tregale, of Newton Abbot in Devon has previously been charged with four counts of sexual assault and one count of attempted rape against a woman between 2005 and 2010.

He is further accused of two counts of false imprisonment and one of harassment with the threat of violence against the same woman.
