Hard-party rocker Noel Gallagher has a surprise new favourite tipple – and it's not very rock and roll.

The Oasis legend has knocked back some of the finest drinks in the world but these days things have changed. Never mind cigarettes and alcohol, the star likes something a little softer now after saying he's quit his all-night studio sessions to get home in time for his tea.

Noel's changing room demands are a little calmer too and he is said to have surprised staff at the Hardwick Festival in County Durham with what he requested – and there wasn't any booze in sight. Noel went for a lovely French bottle, but it's probably not what you're thinking.

He's now swigging back Evian before and after shows after taming his party lifestyle and a source told The Sun: "Noel knows good wine and beer – and he clearly has his favourites when it comes to the water he would drink. He had the normal bottles of water which were put in his dressing room exchanged for chilled bottles of Evian because it’s the brand he likes best."

Things have changed. Asked what he takes with him when he travels last month, he said: "I take my own pillow on tour," but keeping true to his rocker style, he went on: "But if I’m in a hotel, and I see a better pillow, I’ll just swap it, that’s what I’m like, I am a confirmed pillow thief."

Noel, 56, now only works in the studio from midday to 6pm. He said: "If you can’t say it in six hours there’s no point. I need my dinner." He told Jools Holland: "In the 90s everything we did after dinner we’d have to redo... now I can’t be bothered working after six. There’s football to watch."

In an unexpected turn of events, Noel has confessed he's all for an Oasis reunion – despite his ongoing feud with brother Liam. The Manchester brothers, famously fell out after a brutal row before Oasis split in 2009, and ever since, Liam has been nagging his older brother Noel for a reunion on Twitter.

Liam and Noel could now potentially be set for a reunion amid ongoing pressure from Oasis fans for the warring brothers to get the iconic 90s band back together. Despite their ongoing row, Noel has teased the idea of the whole band getting back together – insisting that both he and Liam would have to be apart of it to make it work.

Noel is said to have confirmed the unexpected news during a Q&A at The Rose Theatre in Kingston. When asked by an audience member during a recent chat about who should be included in an Oasis reunion line-up, Noel replied: "So me…Liam…Well, it’s a funny thing because we’re all at a certain age now.

"Hair was a thing in Oasis, so we’ll have to see what everybody’s hair is looking like. I’m in no matter what. This is not f****** going anywhere. I don’t know. Look. Me, Liam and a load of f****** fit birds."
