Fans feel Noel Gallagher 's crumbled marriage could be good news for Oasis as reunion rumours already start to swirl.

The rock legend, 55, is divorcing wife Sara MacDonald after 22 years together.

The Wonderwall singer is understood to have moved out of their Hampshire home and is currently living on his own in North London following the split.

It's fair to say his brother Liam won't be shedding a tear at Friday night's shock news.

He blamed Noel's wife for the band's reunion not happening back in 2020 as the pair's relationship became strained.

Outspoken Liam, 50, ranted about his then sister-in-law on Twitter, claiming she doesn't like the band's music and put the breaks on them getting back together.

Fans think now she is out of the picture, something could happen.

A fan tweeted him three years ago, asking: "Hi Liam, do you know why Noel hates oasis reunion so much??????"

Liam responded: "I've told you before he's rite up for it but you know who won’t let him as she doesn't like oasis music [sic]."

The "you know who" appears to be a dig at Sara, who Noel married in 2011 two years after Oasis split.

He said in a newspaper interview that he "didn't care" if Sara, Noel or his "f****** kid" Anais, now 20, were abused on social media.

Responding on Instagram, Sara said: "His f****** kid”? You mean your gorgeous niece, you deplorable w*****

"Please god (you) have dropped dead by the time my kids are on social media."

In 2019, Noel claimed Liam threatened his then wife when he shared an alleged screenshot of a WhatsApp exchange between Liam and Noel's daughter, Anais, on Twitter.

He then issued an apology to their mother Peggy and Anais for them "getting caught up" in the "childish behaviour".

Sara once detailed the feud between her husband and brother-in-law when chatting with Vogue - recalling how the two music legends once had a physical fight in a hotel room.

"They were rolling around like geckos," she told the publication. "Noel’s shirt was in ribbons. We left, but then I realised I’d left my bag in there. Noel knocked on the door and it was hurled down the corridor."

The former couple first met back in 2000 when the Mancunian singer chatted up Sara at Ibiza club Space.

A representative for the former couple told the Mirror last night: "Noel and Sara will continue to look after their children who remain the priority.

"They ask the media to respect their privacy and that of our family at this time."

An insider added to The Sun: "It is a great shame but they’re trying to keep it as civilised as possible.

"Noel has moved out, but in time Sara might want to move back to London. They’re working everything out steadily to minimise the disruption."

Sara, 51, gave birth to their first son Donovan in 2007, followed by their second child Sonny in 2010.
