Hannah Montana star arrested for 'being drunk at hotel and stealing snacks'
A former Disney star famous for his role in the Hannah Montana series starring Miley Cyrus has been arrested.
Mitchel Musso, 32, who shot to fame as a teenager in the late 2000s for playing Oliver Oken, the best friend of Miley Stewart (portrayed by Cyrus), was busted on charges of public drunkenness and theft.
Police in Rockwall — a suburb of Dallas, Texas — were dispatched to a hotel on after reports of a disturbance. Musso had allegedly entered the facility, grabbed a bag of chips and started munching on them without paying for them.
One of the hotel's employees reportedly asked the child star to pay for the snack, but he allegedly refused and stormed out. A press release shared by the Rockwall Police Department stated that Musso "became verbally abusive" as he did so.
The employee later told the police that Musso had "appeared intoxicated" when he entered the hotel at around 7:15pm. Saturday evening and that he had been acting in a belligerent manner.

Officers recorded that they found the Pair of Kings star outside the facility, meandering about and identified the 32-year-old. While speaking with the police, he "demonstrated signs of intoxication and was ultimately arrested," the press release states.

When running a records check on the Phineas and Ferb actor, police discovered that he had a slew of outstanding traffic warrants for failure to answer a series of traffic infractions. He was also charged with failure to display a driver's license and having an expired registration.
The police took Musso straight to the Rockwall County Detention Center, a jail, where he was booked and spent the night. Bond was set for a total of $2,080, which he posted on late Sunday afternoon, securing his release.
According to Texas law, Musso likely won't be facing any jail time for his crimes. Both are categorized as Class C Misdemeanors, which carry a fine of up to $500 each, and the others are lesser infractions that simply carry fines as well.
Essentially, that means that Musso will be down around $3,000 for the charges with his bond factored in, then possibly more for the traffic infractions when the ordeal is all said and done.
This isn't the first time the Disney star has had a run-in with the law, either. In 2011, he was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in Burbank, California, at the age of 20. The star allegedly had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of "well over" the legal limit of .08%, PEOPLE reported at the time.
He was later sentenced to 36 months of informal probation for the incident, according to E! News.
In his mugshot, Musso is largely unrecognisable — a great distance from the long-haired boy Hannah Montana fans fell in love with over a decade ago. He sports a depressing frown and much shorter hair, and his eyes don't seem to shine with the light they once did.
