Hugh Hefner had curfew for Playboy bunny wife 'to take part in group sex'

Hugh Hefner was famous for his love of group sex, with his Playboy bunny wife Crystal Hefner admitting he had a curfew for her so she could join in.

Crystal said she was given a 6pm curfew to make sure she would be home to share dinner with Hugh, which was "always chicken soup with cream cheese". After dark, it was time for them to be intimate.

Describing their first night as "unremarkable", the 37-year-old admitted she found the group sex "embarrassing". While she can't remember the exact number of people they'd have in bed at one time, she said it was definitely "a lot".

"Nobody really wanted to be there but I think in Hef's mind, he still thought he was in his 40s, and those nights, the people, the mansion, solidified that idea. He felt, 'I've still got it'," she revealed in a new interview.

She also said Hugh took so much Viagra that he lost his hearing on one side, which is a recognised side effect of the drug. She claimed he would rather be deaf and still be able to have sex than unable to perform.

As well as deciding her bedroom activities. Crystal said her husband would also control the nail polish she wore and how often she needed to dye her hair. The former couple met when Crystal was 21 and Hugh was 81.

They married on New Year's Eve in 2012 and remained together until his death in 2017. Crystal admitted she can find it difficult to reflect on their time together and described the beginning of their romance as "so sad".

"I look back and I feel sorry for that girl. There was going to be this Wizard Of Oz moment where the fantasy fades, you draw back the curtain and see the reality of it," she told the Daily Mail.

Crystal said she has hopes of getting married again and starting a family. Looking back at her relationship with Hugh, she admitted that if she ever has a daughter, she won't allow such a big age-gap.

Crystal was a psychology student when she met Hugh and is now returning to her original studies. She's trying to move past her Playboy bunny identity and said she plans to revert to her maiden name of Harris if she ever gets her doctorate in psychology. Despite this, she said she doesn't regret her time in the famous mansion.

"At first, the Playboy Mansion felt like a sanctuary. It wasn't. But then you either abide by it or you leave, and I didn't feel like I had anywhere else to go," she added.
