Corrie's Faye Brookes unveils second wedding dress as she jets off on honeymoon
Coronation Street star Faye Brookes has shared a glimpse of her second wedding dress after tying the knot with Iwan Lewis in the Cotswolds earlier this week.
The 35-year-old, best known for playing Kate Connor on the ITV soap drama, took to Instagram today to post highlights from her bridal salon visit ahead of her big day - much to the excitement of her 201k followers. In the short clip, Faye can be seen trying on a stunning wedding dress at Tilly's Bridal Boutique in the idyllic English town of Leamington Spa.
Despite the gorgeous look of its embellished mermaid skirt and a sweetheart neckline, the gown ultimately failed to meet the Dancing on Ice star's high standards. Faye ended up saying yes to an off-the-shoulder number, which featured a billowing maxi skirt and an intricate corset. She paired the dress with a subtle veil, statement earrings and a bouquet of roses and daisies for that ultimate feminine finish.

The newlyweds previously starred in a production of Legally Blonde together in 2011-2012 and remained friends ever since, before embarking on a romantic relationship together. The newly-weds first met at drama school and even lived together at one point, before reconnecting and falling in love.

Discussing their relationship in April, the lovebirds confirmed Iwan popped the question on New Year's Eve and explained how they got back in touch with each other through mutual friends later year. "What’s the point in waiting?" Faye mused as she discussed her "quickie wedding" plans. "We’ve waited long enough," the former dunsoap star added. "I could have said this phrase in the past, 'When you know, you know.' But I’ve never truly understood what that really means until now. There’s no doubt, no worries, no cold feet."

I’m not questioning anything," Faye also gushed during the interview with OK! magazine, as she shared details of Iwan's romantic proposal in the Cotswolds just a few months before.
Faye was previously engaged to Pop Idol star Gareth Gates. The former couple met during a 2012 Legally Blonde production, where the former singer was portraying the role of Faye's character's boyfriend. Faye and Gareth called off their engagement in 2018.
Earlier this month, Faye shared her excitement as her wedding day approached. She took to her Instagram on August 9 to share a selfie from the back of a car as she rocked a gorgeous white outfit. She also tied half her brown locks into a half updo and completed the look with a pair of Chanel earrings.
"Last few weeks as a Miss…" Faye captioned the post just weeks before tying the knot. Fans immediately rushed to the comment section to compliment the actress, with one saying: "You’re beyond gorgeous," and another commenting: "best bride ever you go girl...can't wait to see pics have amazing day."
