A beautician is being interrogated by police after two hotel guests are said to have emptied a room of all its goodies - leaving behind only the TV.

The pair were captured on clearing out the whole hotel room in Wales, bizarrely even nabbing the TV remote despite not taking the telly itself. The £80-a-night room in the Dolphin Hotel in Pembroke Dock was emptied last Saturday.

But now, the game might be up for the . Police are said to be questioning 43-year-old Martine Rendell after they found her bank card had been used to check into the hotel.

Natalie Newton, 43, who runs the Dolphin Hotel, said the guests were “super friendly” when checking into the room leaving her unsuspecting. It came as a large shock, Ms Newton said, when the cleaners found the room had been cleared of its contents, reported the .

These included two white bath towels, two lamps, a coffee container, a charging tower, an electric fan and a bunch of other items - not including the shampoo and the wall-mounted TV. Ms Newton took to Facebook to blast the alleged thieves publicly. The Dolphin Hotel said: “This woman and her partner booked a room with us for one Saturday night and literally stole all the contents from the room. Shame on you!”

The pair made multiple trips to the car from the hotel carrying large bags packed full of stuff - which appear to have been the hotel’s stolen goods - even including the room’s tea bags. With a big smile towards the CCTV, the couple left for good, with what is believed to be at least £200 worth of hotel items.

Pictures show the couple seeming entirely unperturbed by the CCTV cameras watching them. It is as yet unknown whether they deny the allegation or not. Dyfed-Powys Police said: "We have received a report of theft from a room at the Dolphin Hotel, Pembroke Dock, on Saturday, 19 August. We are investigating the incident."
