Emmerdale star unrecognisable as he reunites with co-star on Celeb MasterChef
Former Emmerdale actor Michael Praed stunned fans of the ITV soap on Tuesday night, as he made a big TV return on BBC's Celebrity MasterChef - and he looked completely different to his soap alter-ego .
Four years after his soap character's dramatic exit that saw him killed off in an explosion, the actor returned to screens alongside his friend and former co-star Amy Walsh. Michael played fan favourite Frank Clayton on the ITV soap, the father of Vanessa Woodfield and Tracy Robinson.
Tracy actress Amy reunited with her onscreen father for the BBC cooking series on Tuesday, and fans couldn't believe it when they saw both of them together in the same episode. Not only that, but the actor looked unrecognisable to his soap days sporting a very different look.

Michael also ditched the clean-shaven look for a small beard and moustache combo.
The actor looked very different from his time on the ITV soap, amid fans still wanting justice for the character's death. Frank died in the factory fire, after he ran in to save his daughter Tracy who was trapped.

As he went to leave the burning building he couldn't resist rushing back in to rescue his engagement ring, with him planning to propose to partner Megan Macey. Sadly just as he left the factory, it exploded and the force sent him flying.
Frank died instantly from his injuries, leaving his daughters devastated. Amy and Kerry Wyatt had accidentally caused the fire when they set out to rob the money from the factory safe.
Michael played fan favourite Frank Clayton on the ITV soap (ITV)Amy and Kerry have never been exposed for their crime, while Tracy and Vanessa do know the truth. Viewers have long demanded the pair face justice for their crime.
Meanwhile, BBC viewers loved seeing him back on screen and alongside co-star Amy, taking to Twitter to comment on his TV return. One viewer said: "Not Tracey and her dead Dad Frank from Emmerdale in the same heat on Masterchef!?"
Another agreed: "So we've got frank & tracey from #emmerdale," while a third viewer said: "I've never heard of any contestant in #CelebrityMasterchef, apart from Michael Praed, but wouldn't have recognised him." A fourth viewer confessed: "just realised that's Michael Praed on #celebritymasterchef - he looks really good!"
