Inside Jennifer Aniston's friendship with Adam Sandler and their romance history
Jennifer Aniston has a long-running friendship with actor Adam Sandler, with the pair recently sparking romance rumours on the set of their latest show.
The Friends star, 54, even confessed the comedian sends her flowers every Mother's Day. The sweet gesture from Adam and his wife Jackie comes after Jennifer's IVF struggle. Jennifer has been open about her regret at not freezing her eggs earlier in life. She recently revealed that she "threw everything" at wanting a child, including going through IVF.
It is clear the We're The Millers star has the support of Adam and after years of co-staring together in the likes of Just Go With It, the pair sparked romance rumours last year. While working on the sequel to Murder Mystery, J ennifer and co-star Adam were pictured cosying up during filming. She even posted a New Year reel that heavily featured Adam and wrote alongside it: "Thanks 2022. 2023... ready, set, let's go. Happy New Year everyone!"

The actors have shared behind-the-scenes snaps with each other (Instagram)But it's no surprise Adam made such an appearance as he and Jen were busy filming Murder Mystery 2, which is set in Paris and aired on Netflix in March. The pair have actually been pals for years and Adam has been happily married to wife Jackie, who he shares two daughters with, since 2003. Jennifer has previously said of their friendship: "You love each other, he takes you in and I'm very much the same way", adding they are like "family".
Jennifer has previously shared how Adam has has teased her over the years about her love life. While appearing on the Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show to promote Murder Mystery 2, Jimmy asked if she and Adam had given each other advice over the years after first meeting at Jerry's Famous Deli on Ventura Boulevard when they were 20 and 22 respectively. Jennifer answered: "Well, I, if I get anything from him, it's ''What are you doing?'' Usually based on someone I'm dating."

Imitating the Happy Gilmore actor she continued: "What are you doing? What's wrong with you?" But I very much love to take care of him. He's so concerned with taking care of everybody else, which he really does but he doesn't take care of himself. I'm sorry to call you out on national television, Adam, but you have to know this. I have a little arsenal of herbs in my trailer and I make him smoothies when I can and give him all sorts of Chinese herbs when he is exhausted. I'm like the mobile pharmacy. Yeah, I'm the set medic."
Speaking about his close relationship with Jennifer, Adam said the actress and his wife often team up to “tag-team” him about his health. He told the Hollywood Reporter: “She [Jennifer] and my wife have a nice time tag-teaming me to try to make me a healthier human being. Like, they want me to stretch more – eventually being able to touch my toes, which I’m about nine inches away from."
He added his wife was not afraid to turn up on set either to check he is looking after himself. “She’s certainly not afraid to show up on a set and in my trailer is a whole bunch of whatever shake I should be drinking - and it’s usually green. I actually drink it so I can look her in the eye.”

She was rumoured to have a secret boyfriend in 2021 and linked to her Morning Show co-star Jon Hamm, who recently got engaged to someone else. Jennifer dated ladies' man John Mayer in the Noughties after they met at an Oscars party in 2008.
Their on-off romance was short lived and he later admitted to sleeping with 'four or five' other women while they were on a break. Shortly after her split with first husband Brad Pitt, Jen moved on with Hollywood hunk Vince Vaughn. The pair met on the set of their appropriately titled movie The Breakup in 2005 and dated for a year. Jennifer's most famous relationship is of course her five-year marriage to Brad Pitt.
The pair met in the early Nineties but didn't go on their first date until 1998 after reportedly being set up by their agents. Two years later they tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Malibu in July 2000, but by 2005 it was over. After her relationship with Brad broke down, rumours swirled that Jennifer and her on-screen love interest David Schwimmer were dating in real life. At the Friends reunion they finally came clean, admitting they'd had a 'major crush' on each other during the first season of filming the show.
While working on Friends, Jennifer was splitting up with actor Tate Donovan after three years, when he joined the cast of Friends as her love interest. The pair remain friendly to this day and say working together while they were breaking up even helped them deal with their split. Jen was also linked to Paul Rudd, when he played her gay best friend in 1998 movie The Object of My Affection.
