Police have obtained a warrant to arrest former NFL player Antonio Brown over unpaid child support, according to reports.

TMZ reported on Tuesday morning that Miami-Dade County court documents state he missed another child support payment of £11,700 ($15,000) to his former partner, Wiltrice Jackson. The legal filings also state the arrest warrant will be erased if he pays the fee, including an additional £3,923 ($5,000) in attorney fees.

This is the second time a judge has ordered the police to take the 2021 Super Bowl winner star into custody over unpaid child support. A judge made the order after Brown failed to pay Jackson £23,543 ($30,000) in April, but he settled the payment and is now required to do it again to avoid going behind bars.

Brown dated Jackson early in his NFL career and they share a daughter together. The former wide receiver has five other children, four sons and one other daughter. He shares four of those children with Chelsie Kyriss, who tried to seek sole custody in 2020.

Court records filed at Broward County in Florida claimed Brown “continues to demonstrate an incapacity to make decisions that are in the best interest of the minor children.” It added: “It is imperative to the safety and the welfare of the Petitioner and the minor children that the Petitioner be awarded sole parental responsibility, as shared parental responsibility would be detrimental to the minor children.”

Brown once again hit the headlines for the wrong reasons in December 2022, when an arrest warrant was issued following a domestic battery incident involving a woman. The former athlete was involved in a verbal altercation at his home in South Tampa, before police stated the argument became physical and he threw a shoe at the woman, before attempting to evict her from his home.

But just three weeks later prosecutors opted to drop the case according to online records.

While Brown has had several issues off the field, Brown went on to have a stellar career after he was drafted in the sixth round of the 2010 Draft.

He is regarded as one of the best receivers of the 2010s, and earned the most first-team All-Pro selections at his position throughout the decade with four consecutive selections from 2014–2017 while playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers between 2010 and 2018.

Between 2010 and 2018, Brown amassed more receptions than any other player in the league and won the award for NFL receptions leader in 2014 and 2015. Brown made the Pro Bowl seven times and the finest moment of his career came when he won his lone Super Bowl ring with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccanneers in 2021.
