Celebs Go Dating's Vanessa Feltz admits she's 'not comfortable' being single

Vanessa Feltz has revealed she doesn't feel "comfortable" being single as she opened up on her hopes of finding love again on Celebs Go Dating.

The broadcaster signed up to the E4 dating show following her split from cheating fiancé Ben Ofoedu and told The Mirror she was encouraged to join by her daughters Allegra and Saskia.

Asked about the reaction from her friends and family on joining the show, Vanessa said: "[They've been] very good about it. Both my daughters are big fans of the show. They said there's no downside, definitely do it. My friends have all been really encouraging."

Speaking about what viewers can expect from her quest to find love again, the TalkTV presenter continued: "I think they'll be surprised to see the vulnerability and I'm not someone who is comfortable with being single, I don't like it. People who like it, that's great but, I don't like it."

Last week, Vanessa opened up on her Celebs Go Dating experience with Josie Gibson and Andi Peters on This Morning as she revealed that when a date doesn't go as planned it's akin to "wading through treacle".

She said: "I think dating is damn difficult. I've not done it for 17 years. I wouldn't sit here and pretend it's a breeze and a blast. When it's not going well it's like wading through treacle. But when you meet someone it can be easy it can be bliss. It can be great. It's just a numbers game isn't it... I have been a rotten picker, I haven't been good at picking. I thought the agents must be able to do better than I can, they can't do any worse."

The This Morning star joins Love Island alumn Adam Collard and Chloe Burrows, model Lottie Moss, Made In Chelsea's Mark-Francis Vandelli and comedian Spuddz on a mission to find love.

Former Celebs Go Dating star Ryan-Mark Parsons, who was The Apprentice's youngest-ever contestant, has also been revealed to be returning to the series after first attempting to find love on the show in 2022.

Dating agents Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williamson will be on hand to help the celebrities with new addition TikTok sensation and sex guru Dr. Tara Suwinyattichaiporn. Client coordinator Tom Read Wilson also returns to the series.

Celebs Go Dating will begin on Sunday 20th August at 9pm on E4.
