Louise Thompson's fan came to her defence after she was cruelly mum-shamed for posting a sweet clip on her social media.

The Made In Chelsea star divided opinion after she shared a video of herself and one-year-old son Leo on holiday. The 33-year-old has been enjoying time with her child and fiancé Ryan Libbey over the summer break. Louise took to her Instagram to share a snippet of the fun time they have been having together, yet was hit by mum-shamers in the comment section.

She posted a clip of her and Leo on a bike ride together, where the tot was perched in front of her. Leo, who was strapped in, enjoyed the bike ride through the countryside. Louise said: "What are you grateful for today? Me: THIS. First time cycling with Leo and his face has me in stitches. I don’t know why but the spiky hair / Cheshire Cat grin combo is giving me major Sherman from American Pie vibes."

However, the post sparked many to give their opinions on Louise's parenting. One said: "It’s irrelevant that it’s a short ride. The child should be protected with a helmet. It only takes one second to fall off a bike and cause a head injury." Another added: "So unbelievably dangerous! As a paramedic it makes me very sad that as a “public” figure your are not wearing one and also allowing your child to not wear one."

"Omg! Leo is NOT properly strapped in either! Please be careful Louise," commented someone else. However the TV star was quickly flooded with support as one wrote: "For goodness sake, give Louise a break. Leo is her child, she can do what she chooses - as she said she was on a road with no cars. If you can’t be kind, don’t say anything!"

Another said: "Well done. Glad to see your having a great time. Helmet police , please just let her be. People are entitled to make their own choices without being judge for doing right or wrong!" Someone else wrote: "Omg this is just adorable... His face is perfect. Ignore negative Nellie's, jesus!!!"

Louise recently revealed to fans that she suffered a "major haemorrhage" earlier this year, as the many health issues since giving birth two years ago continue to grow. The reality TV star, who gave birth to son Leo in 2021, has been struggling with her mental health after being diagnosed with PTSD following the traumatic birth as well as ongoing physical health complications. She shared how her health prevented her, Ryan and Leo from heading on a much needed holiday as she was rushed to hospital in an ambulance.

Writing on her Instagram, Louise told her 1.4 million followers: "WE MADE IT. We were scheduled to visit St. Lucia to stay with friends in early Feb but my health got in the way... AGAIN. I shouldn’t complain. In fact I should be counting my lucky stars that I was firmly on British soil when I suffered a major haemorrhage and had subsequent emergency surgery at the end of January. If our trip had been 3 days earlier the outcome is likely to have been very different.

"Goodness only knows what would have happened if I’d been flying high in the sky on a 9hr flight, or roaming around bare foot on a remote Caribbean island, but my instinct is telling me that I wouldn’t have survived. I know I needed severallllll litres of life saving blood/fluids etc. and I’m not sure what access to that sort of stuff is like abroad. Maybe don’t tell me. It’s not really worth stewing over too much. "

She likened her life to the 1990s film Sliding Doors, as she wrote: "Life seems to be one big fat sliding door. Who remembers that movie featuring Gwyenny Paltrow? It’s one that I relate to quite a bit these days. One evening I’m laughing with an old friend whilst drinking tea and drowning in bubbles as we entertain our sons who are having a play date. The next morning I’m back in the back of a van being blue lit to hospital."
