Jade Goody would be 'bursting with pride' seeing son Bobby Brazier on Strictly
Jade Goody's widower said she would be 'bursting with pride' at her son Bobby Brazier's achievements. Bobby was recently announced as one of the many stars joining the Strictly Come Dancing line-up this season and is already the bookies' favourite to win.
Bobby, who is the 20-year-old son of Jady and Jeff Brazier, made a name for himself at a young age modelling for Dolce & Gabbana and more before trying his hand at acting in EastEnders. And now, he'll be putting on his dancing shoes for the BBC dancing competition.
Speaking of Bobby's achievements, Jade's widower Jack Tweet said she would be bursting with pride if she were here today. The iconic Big Brother star died at the age of 27 following a battle with terminal cancer. She left behind her sons Bobby and Freddy as well as her husband Jack.
He was with her for four years before her death, with the two tying the knot in a private ceremony several months before she passed. And now, Jack opened up about Bobby's upcoming stint on Strictly Come Dancing: "Jade would be over-the-moon proud of Bobby and all he’s achieved."
"...Seeing Bobby grow into such a nice young man has been a lovely thing to see," he said to The Sun. "He is absolutely smashing it. Jade would be bursting with pride." After Bobby was announced as one of the stars joining Strictly, he discussed his excitement at training "like a professional dancer."
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filmingBobby said: "I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly line up, I can’t wait to start training like a professional dancer and adding a few moves to my locker. I'm looking forward to performing in front of everyone, it's going to be so much fun!" Appearing live from the EastEnders set during BBC Breakfast, Bobby: "I'm good, I'm excited, I've never done live [TV] before, so I'm a little bit nervous but I'm happy!" He added: "I love to dance, to perform live will be scary I think, daunting, but exciting."
He said he doesn't have any dancing experience and joked: "I just like to party! House and disco [music], I've got good rhythm when it comes to finding the one, two, three and four [beats]." The star added that he has told everyone the news, including his family.
The actor continued: "People keep telling me as far as EastEnders and Strictly go, everyone who has done Strictly, from EastEnders, has done pretty well. So people are saying: 'Do you feel pressure?' But no, I don't. People have just said be yourself and enjoy dancing."
