Arsenal and Manchester City will now take place on October 8, with the Premier League confirming the fixture as one of several matches picked for TV in October.

The pair will now face off on October 8, with the game being broadcast live on Sky Sports. It is the first league meeting between last season's top two, with Arsenal beating City on penalties in the Community Shield earlier this month.

Other matches moved include the Manchester Derby, which will now take place on October 29. Some 17 games have been moved in total, including some non-televised games given new dates due to teams' involvement in European competition.

Arsenal host City in part of a double-header on October 8, with Brighton v Liverpool also on TV that day. West Ham's game against Newcastle has also been moved to the same day, with the Hammers in Europa League action on the preceding Thursday.

Luton v Spurs and Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest are the televised games one day earlier, while Aston Villa's trip to Wolves could also be moved if Unai Emery's side win their Europa Conference League play-off. Both legs of their play-off will be held in August, with Hibernian or Luzern their opponents.

The first televised game after the October international break is the Merseyside Derby, now due to take place at 12.30 on October 21. Chelsea v Arsenal is now a 5.30pm kick-off later that day, with Sheffield United v Man Utd and Aston Villa v West Ham on TV on the Sunday, though Man Utd's game is subject to change based on their Champions League draw.

October 23 sees Tottenham host Fulham on Monday Night Football, with Spurs also involved four days later in a Friday night trip to Crystal Palace. There's another televised game on Saturday October 28, with Chelsea v Brentford on TNT Sports, with Wolves v Newcastle the Saturday evening game.

The Manchester Derby will take place at the unusual time of 3.30pm on Sunday the 29th, with a 1pm kick-off for West Ham v Everton in that day's other televised game. Brighton v Fulham and Liverpool v Nottingham Forest will also be held that day, due to their teams' Europa League involvement, but neither game is on TV.

There are only three full rounds of fixtures in the Premier League in October due to the international break falling in the middle of the month. England have a home friendly against Australia on October 13, followed by another home game - a Euro 2024 qualifier against Italy - four days later.

The full list of rescheduled matches can be found below. Those with an asterisk have been moved due to European fixtures, while Sheffield United v Man Utd will take place on October 21 at 8pm if United are in Champions League action on October 24.
