Inside Britney Spears' turbulent love life from British paparazzi to Jared Leto
Britney Spears' love life has been played out for all to see since she was catapulted to fame.
Now, it's claimed that the Toxic songstress has split from her husband of just one year, Sam Asghari, following reports of alleged infidelity. Reports suggest that the couple who tied the knot just last year had a "nuclear" argument before making the decision to part ways.
Sam is said to have moved out of their marital home while Britney recently broke her cover and was seen without her wedding ring on her finger, while Sam's social media posts also reveal he has decided not to wear his.
Following the news, we take a look inside Britney's turbulent marriage over the years as she heads towards her third divorce.
Justin Timberlake

However, just four short years later, the couple decided to go their separate ways and it was far from a quiet split. Justin went on to release his 2002 song, Cry Me a River, the second track from his debut album, Justified. Reports indicated that the song was about Britney's alleged infidelity. It's claimed that shortly after their split, Britney and dancer Wade Thompson decided to make a go of their relationship after hooking up behind Justin's back.
Fred Durst
Just one year after she and Justin, then she and Wade decided to call things a day, Britney is said to have found happiness again. This time with Limp Bizkit star Fred Durst. The pair met when Britney had asked Durst to write songs for her before they eventually sparked a romantic relationship.
But while Britney has remained tight-lipped and even denied that they were an item, Fred has never shied away from discussing their relationship. Speaking about their decision to split, he told MTV: "It just became a fiasco of madness, [but] I always stay true to my heart and true to everything I did and my intentions, and I am in no way a liar."
Jared Leto

But in a bit to silence claims, Britney joked off the claims and said that she and the 30 Seconds to Mars musician were "really good friends".
Colin Farrell

But in a bid to play down the claims, Farrel said that he was "just a 26-year-old guy who's single and having a good time."
Jason Alexander
Following her previous relationships with Hollywood stars, Britney found love with her childhood friend, Jason Alexander back in 2004. The Oops... I Did It Again singer and her pal enjoyed a wild night of partying in Las Vegas but woke up with major regret.
The previous evening, they said "I do" at the Little White Wedding Chapel, where the likes of Dame Joan Collins and Peter Holms, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner as well as Bruce Willis and Demi Moore have said "I do". However, after just 55 hours of being husband and wife, they realised it wasn't for them and their marriage was quickly annulled.
Kevin Federline

But as their relationship went to the next level, so did Britney's personal life and her career. While she was once dubbed the Princess of Pop, her chart-topping career started to decline. In 2007, Kevin and Britney made the decision to split from one another after just three years of marriage.
Today, he has custody of their two children and recently moved to Hawaii with them. Following their split, allegations of cheating emerged after Britney soon sparked a romance with J.R. Rotem.
Adnan Ghalib

Adnan Ghalib has previously photographed the singer after launching a career in the showbiz industry.
But in 2007, he found himself in front of the cameras rather than behind them after the pair struck up a relationship. Ghalib claimed he was tasked with snapping Britney who was in the midst of her divorce from Kevin. Speaking on the documentary, Britney v Spears about their romance, he said: "It was a very simple, very easy relationship, you know? But between her fans and everybody else, it was like I was the bad guy."
However, the pair went on to split in 2008 after Adnan was caught engaging in a set-up paparazzi shoot involving a pregnancy test. Britney allegedly discovered proof that he was tipping-off fellow paps about their whereabouts.
At the time, a set of photographs of the couple would've raked in around $500,000. Photo agency, X17 said: "Britney expressed disappointment and anger toward Adnan for being 'set up' in photographs that Adnan and his agency have sold of them together." Britney later had a restraining order put in place until 2012.
Jason Trawick
Despite her years of heartache, Britney appeared to meet her match and started dating her former manager Jason in 2009. Fast forward two years and the former couple had become engaged. Jason was by Britney's side throughout some of her darkest times and when she was placed under a conservatorship in 2008.
Despite their happy appearance, the couple went on to call it a day in 2012. Since their split, Jason has spoken out claiming that Britney needed a conservatorship and as far as he was aware, her dad had the right intentions.
"Listen, did she need a conservatorship when I was there? Yes. I'll be the first to say it," he said on Kevin Connelly's podcast before adding: "I think she needed some guidance." He added that Jamie "100 per cent" meant well with his strict conservatorship.
Sam Asghari

Speaking in July 2018, Sam said: "I was excited that I [would] get to meet one of the biggest artists of all time; I had butterflies.
"She motivates me more than anyone. I'm always going to support her. She is another blessing that happened to me." Their relationship appeared to be going from strength to strength with Asghari standing by her as she battled throughout the #FreeBritney movement. In September 2021, they announced their engagement on Instagram with thousands rushing to congratulate them on the exciting news.
However, in May 2022, the couple were rocked when Britney tragically announced she had lost their "miracle baby". Just one month after confirming that she was pregnant, the couple shared an emotional statement. They said: "It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any parent.
"Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along however we were overly excited to share the good news."
They added: "Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family."
A month after their devastating loss, Britney and Sam went on to marry in front of around 100 celebrities, while her family were not in attendance. Now, reports have emerged that their romance has come crashing down.
Speaking to TMZ, a source said: "It's only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce." The source claims that he approached Britney over claims she had cheating – although there is nothing to suggest the rumours are true.
