The Chase's Jenny Ryan devastated as her self-funded poster vandalised before show

The Chase star Jenny Ryan was devastated after discovering a promotional poster she paid for was vandalised before her show at Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Jenny took to her Twitter page to reveal she paid for a poster for her highly-anticipated Out of the Box show, which she has funded on her own. Due to the costs, she only purchased a few posters but one of them was sadly destroyed as someone decided to glue their poster over hers.

Sharing a snap of the wasted poster, she said: "Sad about this. I'm self-funding my #Fringe run, no promoter. Due to the cost I only bought a handful of poster boards, incl. one big one, wide enough to really show off the beautiful poster design. Anyway, some other act has glued their poster over part of it. They didn't ask."

Jenny then shared a picture of what it looked like in all its glory before it was ruined. "I've blurred out the details of the interloper here, of course. But I'm not sure if I can get the poster off IRL without damaging my own," she added. "This is how it looked before - props to @Williamandrews design and @dannykaan photography.

"99.9% of people here wouldn't dream of doing anything so rude. Most people are here to create art, provide entertainment, and develop themselves. None of that is a zero-sum game - so we choose to support one another, not undermine. That's why this is (mostly) a great time.

"Maybe they thought I wouldn't notice. And maybe some of the huge acts here, those with promoters/massive PR budgets, wouldn't notice. But that's my only wide board, one of 10 posters I have up around town (others have dozens of more) and I shed a tear when I paid the invoice."

A day later, Jenny returned with good news and revealed the people who look after the poster sites "cleaned up" the area and returned it to its normal state. Fans rushed to the comment section to share their support for her after she initially shared her upset at the situation.

"That’s so wrong - what a horrid thing to do," one user said while another added: "That’s really s****y! Sorry you’ve had this happen Jenny!" One user wrote: "This is so mean. Kind of you to blur...Noone needs bad vibes at festival. I hope you get an apology and amends."
