Bayern Munich 5/1 to win Champions League with Kane spearheading attack

The England captain leaves Tottenham with 213 Premier League goals to his name and over 350 goals for club and country, the sort of numbers which mean Bayern are expecting a sizeable scoring return on their investment as they look to retain the Bundesliga title and lay down a Champions League challenge.

bet365 have released a number of markets around Kane and his new club following the move, with the England man hot favourite for Top Goalscorer at 1/2. He'll be tasked with spearheading Bayern's European charge with the six-time European champions at 5/1 to win the 2023/24 Champions League, and 20/1 for the treble of Bundesliga, DFB Pokal and Champions League.

Bayern's top league scorer last season was floating frontman Serge Gnabry with 14. Twelve months earlier it had been out-and-out centre-forward Robert Lewandowski with 35 goals, before the Pole moved to Barcelona.

There are few who could possibly replace a striker like Lewandowski, but at 16/1, Harry Kane is backed to break the record of 41 goals in a single Bundesliga season in his first campaign with the German Champions.

Tuchel had tweaks and changes to make and one of them was to bring in a proven number nine, and few centre-forwards in the game are more proven than Kane.

With at least 20 goals scored in six of his last nine Premier League campaigns, Kane is backed to maintain his potency with 25 or more goals priced at 1/5 for his inaugural year with the club.

If the striker can indeed continue his form, then last year’s 30 goal season could see him stealing headlines in a brilliant first season in Munich. 30 or more goals for the England skipper is at 1/1, and 35 or more goals is at 10/3.

How will Spurs cope without their greatest goalscorer?

Man Utd finally listen to Ralf Rangnick after ignoring his six-man transfer planMan Utd finally listen to Ralf Rangnick after ignoring his six-man transfer plan

Ange Postecoglou's first summer in charge of Tottenham has been plagued with speculation over Kane and the Australian will have to look at a Plan B now.

No one man is irreplaceable in any team, but Kane’s departure very obviously weakens Spurs as they currently sit at 50/1 to win the Premier League, and Heung-Min Son becomes their immediate source of goals at 25/1 for him to be the league’s top scorer.

Without Kane, the challenge of winning a major trophy comes with an even steeper incline. Even during the period where he was at the club there was a severe lack of trophies, and that looks likely to continue with Spurs at 5/1 to win a major trophy this season.

A top four finish would be a fantastic first season under Postecoglou after the club finished in a lacklustre eighth position, missing out on European football. At 5/1, Spurs will hope they can play their way into a Champions League position at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Tottenham may be resigned to other European competitions, with a top six finish at 7/4, as they begin an existence without their former golden boy.
