Former Coronation Street star Ellie Leach looks worlds away from her former character, Faye Windass, as she enjoyed a night out in Cheshire with her loved ones.

Ellie, 22, is best known for portraying Faye for 12 years on Coronation Street. The actress first joined the hit ITV soap in 2011 but left the cobbles in May 2023 after a slew of explosive storylines for her character. Ellie is now set to show off her dancing skills after being announced as the tenth Strictly Come Dancing contestant, alongside the likes of EastEnders star Bobby Brazier, Love Island's Zara McDermott, and former Coronation Street star, Les Dennis.

After finally being announced as a 2023 contestant after months of secrecy, Ellie is now celebrating before she takes to the famous Strictly dance floor in the hopes of taking home the coveted Glitter Ball Trophy.

Ellie oozed glamour as she hit the town with her family as she donned a plunging black top and a chic black blazer to match. The soap star showcased her toned legs in a pair of denim shorts and topped off the elegant look with a pair of heels.

The former Coronation Street star wore her brunette locks in loose waves and styled her makeup to perfection, complete with a smokey eye and a red lip.

Alongside the striking snaps, Ellie penned: "Family filled weekends are the best." And it wasn't long before her fans and followers alike flocked to the comments to gush over her glamorous look as several labelled the actress 'beautiful' and 'gorgeous'. It comes after Ellie opened up about taking part in Strictly last week. Ellie, whose cousin is fellow former Corrie star Brooke Vincent, said: "It still doesn’t feel real that I’m going to be doing Strictly!! It’s always been a dream of mine so I guess dreams really do come true."

The star added that she has known about Strictly for a long time but has had to keep the exciting news a secret, only telling her family the news: "I'm the type of person if someone says: 'Don't say anything!', I'm like: 'Okay!' I'm so trustworthy."
