Love Island star 'sickened' after cruel trolls say she's put on weight

Love Island's Tasha Ghouri has admitted she was "sickened" to read cruel comments from trolls after photos from her holiday were published without her knowing.

The summer 2022 star was enjoying her getaway to Marbella with boyfriend Andrew Le Page until she was snapped by someone in her hotel abroad. The photos ended up being published in an article, where nasty trolls filled the comment section with cruel jibes about her body. Tasha took to her social media to share the article and some of the horrific comments she had seen.

She wrote: "Wow what an amazing world we live in! Just to clarify we have not organised paps whilst being away. We want to be away from that. Someone who's staying at this hotel has been taking photos and sending them to an agency which sells articles. Then seeing comments like this, it's sickening. I'm even on edge just to come round the pool cause I have no idea who's taking these photos off guard.

"This is me when I haven't done my hair, been sunbathing all day, sweaty, no makeup. So what! Can people just be more kind?" Tasha then shared a sweet selfie with Andrew as they lay together on a sunbed. She wrote: "Here's my tummy unposed. Seeing those pictures has knocked down my confidence a little and those comments but tbh trolls are just trolls. Remember to be kind to others."

Tasha recently opened up to The Mirror about how hurtful comments during her time on Love Island felt like a "dagger to the heart". She received trolling from some viewers due to the fact she was wearing a cochlear implant and was emotional in the villa. The model and activist was the first deaf contestant on Love Island and feared she "wasn't representing" her community well enough.

She told The Mirror: "I think that happened to all Islanders, everyone gets that kind of weird hate situation that goes on. I think being on a TV show that's on every night for how many weeks, you are going to get judged on every single aspect. So that's what you have to know you are signing up for." However, when Tasha came home from the villa and saw the comments she found it tough.

"At first I was a bit like, oh, a little bit of a dagger to the heart. But I think I'm a very positive person and had such good support around me. My family and friends, they're the most important people to me. I had Andrew as well being there for me and be like, 'don't let it get to you and don't go looking for it'."

She added: "He was that massive support for me, I leaned on him so much and he was just there to hold on. I felt like on the show, the reason why I got so emotional was because I felt like I wasn't doing my job. I felt like I wasn't representing my community. That's why I was quite emotional in there because I was like am I failing but I'm a failure like these things were going through my head."
