England play their second international match of the summer this weekend, with Wales travelling to Twickenham after a 20-9 home win in Cardiff last Saturday.

Wales were far the better side last time out, with England failing to hit their stride as many tried to stake their claim before the final World Cup squad selection was made. England head coach Steve Borthwick has since made his decision, with a 33-man squad having been named on Monday.

Borthwick has named three fly-halves in his squad, with Owen Farrell taking the reins as captain this week after Marcus Smith was trusted from the start in Cardiff. Smith has not even been named among the replacements this week as England name a side which is far more likely to resemble the team for the opening World Cup match against Argentina on September 9.

Among the starting line-up for this weekend are Saracens duo Ben Earl and Billy Vunipola, both of whom start in the back row as Borthwick hopes to settle on his starting loose forward combinations after dropping the likes of Sam Underhill and Zach Mercer.

Also in the side, Joe Marler starts at loosehead prop, with Ellis Genge on the bench as late bolter Theo Dan makes the list of replacements in support of Saracens teammate Jamie George at hooker. Wales, meanwhile, name Dewi Lake as captain, with the 24-year-old leading the visitors from the heart of the Welsh front row.
