Helena Christensen has made a rare catwalk appearance at Copenhagen Fashion Week as she showcased her never-ageing beauty.

Nowadays, the original supermodels consisting of Helena, Noami Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington rarely appear on the catwalk. But Christensen, 54, made an exception in her hometown for Copenhagen Fashion Week.

Helena, 54, looked sensational as she took to the runway for the Stine Goya Spring/Summer collection on Wednesday and proved that she's still capable of holding the title. The mum-of-one was just one of several who walked for Goya but certainly stood out from the crowd.

The iconic star stunned as she slipped into a pale blue one-shouldered dress which was neatly decorated by pearls around the neckline, as well as a ruffled shoulder design. Completing her look, Helena opted for a pair of similar coloured heeled slip-on shoes.

Her signature brunette locks were swept back into a neat bun, and she rocked a natural make-up look which accentuated her tan and impeccable facial features as she strutted on the catwalk – which was the street on which Stine Goya previously lived. Prior to making her presence known, Helena took to Instagram to share a string of behind-the-scenes snaps.

The model shared a snap alongside her son Mingus Lucien Reedus, sister Anita and her mum Elsa. Shortly after making her way down the catwalk, she shared a selfie of herself and her mum alongside the caption: "Best part? Mom came along!"

Despite currently being based in New York, Helena remains true to her Scandinavian routes and previously opened up about her relaxed way of life. Speaking to Vogue, she said: "Coming from Denmark, [you are encouraged to] look at all the little things that are important and beautiful, that make you happy. It's not about the big things."

Helena's return comes just weeks after she shared the devastating news that her beloved dad, Flemming, had died. Taking to Instagram, the starlet shared a string of snaps from the Christensen family archives which included some of her alongside Flemming while she was a baby.

She penned: "I realize now that in these many last years of your life, you showed your true strength, fighting to stay with your beloved family for as long as possible not wanting to leave us. You will always be with us, Dad and I will keep waving, always."

Her upload was instantly flooded with messages of condolences with friend Christy Turlington penning: "I'm heartbroken for all of you. He left an impression on everyone who met him. Thank you for sharing him with us. Love you." Daisy Lowe commented: "Oh Helena I'm so sorry- sending you and your family all our love and hugs."

Meanwhile, Naomi Campbell typed: "Ah darling Helena, Elsa and Anita saddened by your loss of Flemming, what a divine soul. when I think of you when you started you always were with your parents they were with you at every show across the 4 countries, every dinner, every party, caring for us all... Always smiling never judging.. when going to work in Denmark I would always reach out to let them I was coming they would always be there from the moment I landed till I departed. Copenhagen will never be the same !! My deepest condolences to you all. Extended family and loved ones. May you REST IN ETERNAL PEACE FLEMMING."
