Tom Skinner shares the results of auditioning men to be Rylan's next boyfriend
The Apprentice legend Thomas Skinner is a busy man these days. Not only is everyone's favourite person to follow on Twitter running his business and adapting to life as a dad-of-three, Tom is making it duty to help his pal Rylan Clark find love again.
Last month, Tom took to social media to reveal his mission to find his long-time friend Rylan a man - announcing that he was holding auditions to find his mate a new partner. The savvy businessman told his Twitter followers his DMs were open and urged any guys who were keen to tell him why they should date his friend.
Single Rylan is seemingly looking for love two years after he and husband Dan Neal split following the end of their six year marriage. The former Strictly It Takes Two presenter, 34, hit rock bottom when he split from Dan after admitting he had cheated on him in the past, but the TV favourite is in a much better place these days.
So, did Tom's attempt to play cupid on social media work out well for Rylan? Did any potential suitors slide into Tom's DMs and charm the market trader from Essex? "Well, I've had to vet a few people - I've had a few phone calls - and he's got a date set up as well, so fingers crossed," Tom revealed when chatting to the Mirror last month.
"I've known Rylan since he was a teenager, he's a good guy. [He's met the twins] and was going to come round [again] on Sunday for a roast dinner but he's got a chest infection," Tom went on to add, referring to the recent birth of his twin daughters, Darla and Roma. The dad-of-three also shares son Henry, two, with wife Sinead.
The Apprentice's Shazia felt 'unsafe' in house with co-stars due to 'bullying'Tom sadly missed the birth of his twin daughters in June as Sinead had to undergo an emergency C-section and give birth four weeks earlier than planned. Tom, who has acquired a loyal fanbase on social media thanks to his positive videos, was managing a West Ham Legends team in a tournament in North Carolina, USA, when he got a call from his panicked wife.
The businessman was told if Sinead didn't get surgery within the next 24 hours, both her life and their unborn twins lives were in danger. Thankfully, Darla and Roma were delivered safely and after a desperate 5,000 mile journey back to the UK, Tom was able to meet the newborns.
"It's fantastic, I'm really enjoying it," Tom gushed when asked how life has changed since becoming a dad-of-three. "It's beautiful and seeing my little boy with them too. I'm just enjoying it - it's a learning curve certainly - but I'm not struggling, i'm enjoying it," he continued when speaking to the Mirror regarding the iCandy campaign.
Tom is clearly enjoying parenthood so much he's already planning adding a fourth child to his growing family. "100% - get another one nice and soon," he admitted if he's keen to expand his brood. "It will be nice if they can all grow up together," he added when discussing the Skinner family plan.
If all goes to plan, Tom could have his very own football team at home to manage alongside leading a West Ham Legends team within the next few years!
