Former Celebrity Big Brother star Hardeep Singh Kohli has been arrested and charged in connection with sexual offences

Former Celebrity Big Brother star Hardeep Singh Kohli has been arrested and charged in connection with historic sex offences.

Police Scotland told the Mirror in a statement that the alleged offences were "non-recent" and that he has been released on bail. The comedian and One Show star, 54, is expected to appear in court at a later date.

A spokesperson said: "A 54-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with allegations of non-recent sexual offences.

"He has been released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.

"A report of the circumstances has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
